Here's another extract from our recital in Rye in the autumn of 2015. This is a vocal piece that we think happens to work very well on two cornetti - proof that you can't have a cornett and sackbut recital without a ciaconna!
The English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble
Gawain Glenton, Andrea Inghisciano - cornetts
Silas Wollston - organ
pitch A=465, 1/4 comma meantone
organ by Henk Klop
tuned and provided by Keith McGowan

It was an absolute joy to see them play an all-Venetian set at Kendal Town Hall back in October of last year. Truly one of the highlights of that concert season. I came away with a deeper knowledge of and appreciation for the European Renaissance tradition.

Une version absolument magnifique de cette pièce a été donnée par le Poème Harmonique à Cracovie, malheureusement l'enregistrement n'est pas disponible, mais je trouve très belle l'adaptation ici pour le cornet. Merci !!

The two instrumentalists "a sinistra e a destra" are playing and producing beautiful sounds on cornetti and the man in the center happens to be playing an instrument with a small black cord running to it. Shouldn't someone be pumping a bellows? Let's be fair, shall we?

Why?

@@pierrefranckx6363 why not, it's spontaneous composition that is a something concert music lacks. He swings, if he can play the doors, I'd love to hear mim play anthropology,Quasimodo, Donna Lee . You must not be a jazz musician. LoL🥸 I used to be a musical snob, the joke was on me. Now I'm just a musician.
