I built a "good enough" one from the second mankey I caught in the event. It's been doing well for me. I got really lucky and got ice punch off the evolve and shadow ball as soon as I unlocked the second move

was really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on annihilape - thanks for sharing, great video! unfortunately though, i just found out that annihilape loses to luvdisc that have energy lead in the 0-2s, so it looks like annihilape is actually completely unviable and outclassed by the newly buffed delibird /j
@@MikeyTsang I wish I had friends like you. I play with guys who have already collected a lot of these Mons so it's hard to get them to care about catching these Mons and trading them to me in hopes of rerolling IVs. Both of them already have hundo Primeapes and they had no interest. So I end up with hundreds of these things, trading them away and not getting them back in return.
I couldn't believe, that since 2016, i don't have a single, viable, Mankey for pvp, i was astonished when i was browsing through the ones I have, i see if i can do a final search for a couple ones before the event ends.
I feel that. I had a bunch saved up from the previous spotlight hour or something over a year ago. Never did check them for Primeape (no more Kanto Cup sadge) but every single one was like 1460's for Annihilape. Fortunately I got some good ones from the event 💪💪
@swagtips for great league, I'm comparing a 3/3/10 (124.6,101.1,140) and a 2/15/10 (122.2,106.3,138). PvPoke matrix simulation against the great league using default IVs says that the 3/3/10 wins more match ups and has a higher avg rating than the 2/15/10, despite missing out on a lot of defense break points. When you change the Great League simulation IVs to rank 1s, the 3/3/10 is strictly worse. How do you evaluate which simulation scenario is more meaningful for actual play? Also, your work is fantastic and greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for doing what you do!
Thank you for the video! Could you help me understand the breakpoints? I tried to look up the whiscash scenario on pvpoke for my 1/12/4 ape and didn’t see the breakpoints you mentioned in your video. Also, my 2/7/10 seems overall better on pvpoke (than the 1/12/4 on your list), although it doesn’t have 126+ def, it even secures the lanturn 1-1. am I missing something? Am I using pvpoke wrong? Or both?
That one point you said rly stood out to me and, and reminded me of something else that never made sense to me... "Can get the cmp on swampert"... Like how doese this thing and trevenant get the cmp, while also feeling a decent bit bulkier? Atleast it feels like it applies even in neutral matchups, but is it just my mind playing tricks on me because of these ghosts being able to tank a 1× super effective attack while no such thing exists for swampert? Is swampert actually another mon that has middling bulk instead of a glasscannon, and the insane strength of hydro cannon is what's missleading? Or is it something going on with the spread of Hp and Def in the base stats that actually is a disadvantege for the main-man-mudboy?
Swampert is only weak to Grass and it has a doubled weakness to Grass. So super effective damage just dumpsters it. As for IVs, in GL at least, Swamp favors a slight Def weight iirc

How dare you make Licktng Killer IVs… you know I am still trying to find the 10/15/14 you know… I do have the bulk one but still I want the big daddy! Am now I do t know with that Dragon Ball Z looking Mon running-around! Seriously sometimes you do your job way too well! Lol PS. I got the Ultra one, but not the Great league… not yet! lol
Thanks for the video! I powered up an old one to try it out (it's 1/15/14) and I guess it doesn't make the cut in your chart, but I've really been enjoying it. I've been hunting a "better" one, but every time I get a Mankey with good ivs it's always like 900+ CP ffs... Idk if if I'm right, but I'm looking for one with slightly more attack (4-5) for the mirror match since I think it's the worst mirror in the game atm. It's super reliant in landing shadow ball since counter is 2x resisted. Though I wasn't really sure what I really needed since 5-15-15 seems to be bad according to poke genie lol, but I guess you can be ok letting some of the HP go.
I feel for Master league especially, best buddy Annihilape matters for another HP break point. As far the next season, I truly hope we get the return of Premier cups for Ultra & Master League
Im a fan. Its good but balanced. Good investment because you know it probably wont get nerfed anytime soon. We arent talking about a Breaking Swipe UL Steelix or a Scald overbuff Poli so i think it goes under the radar/is seen as overhyped
Agreed. The debuff meta has warped our perception of balance a lot. I'm unsure if it's for the better or worse though. Regardless, Scald is too strong or has too high of a debuff rate as is.
Somehow I managed to accidentally nab a 15/14/2 Licki slayer spread mankey! And it seems to be one of the spreads that hits basically all of the important attack and defense breakpoints! 🙏
I tried to pvp deep dive and found similar results (yayy!). I think Im going for the 1/14/4: it has a bp on rk1 swampert allowing it to win the 2-2 while losing the 1-1 compared to the 0/15/5 annihilape. It also looses a bulk point vs rk1 mantine but i kinda think its better in the 0-0 scenario since mantine gets less farm...
@@SwagTips Omni-swagman i have 1 question: why for the UL the min of 178 hp? I found that the 0/13/2 with 177 hp could hit pmuch all the same breakpoints and also have a bulkpoint on r1 pidgeot, trev, ampharos, greninja. I guess you miss that 159.63 vs 0/15/12 greninja but idk i feel like 0/13/2 performs better on pvppoke...

Is it this weekend? I doubt I could string it together in time. It's kinda split 2 ways, Atk/Def and Def/HP. The Def was specific to Medi and Noct, but both have been nerfed out of existence so idk anymore. So TM your best looking ones that get the Azumarill Breakpoint or have high bulk/sp.
Hi all, I watched the Lickitung IV deep dive but is undecisive on which Lickitung to build. I have accumulated enough XL candies and resources to finally upgrade one XL Lickitung after farming for almost 2 years. I didn't know about breakpoint before this Licki event, and ended up powering up 9-13-14 Licki. Is it any good? Or did I waste my 296 XL candy grind? 😅 Also, scrub question, if I best buddy, does it make it go above the CP threshold since I already maxed it?
I maxed a 14-15-15 for Master League and really... outside of a mirror match up and some fairy, it does really well. I just want to know what I should do with two Mankeys I have. 0-15-15 and 0-15-12. They are high bulk, but get me nowhere in the lower leagues.
I am actually really new to PVP in this game and I am having to build up pokemon with good IVs. This event has been pretty fun and I really do want an Annihilape even if it may be overhyped. I’ve got one with 6/13/8 that Poke Genie tells me is great. I saw another comment mention 6/15/6. How does the one I’ve got stack up?
@@SwagTips I been using it with some success. There’s a lot of Ape Hunting going on so it’s more difficult. I can relate to the Lickytung question 😂. I haven’t found the unicorn yet but a lot of iv around it and enuff XL to build 2. I won’t ask tho 😁
I'm not sure if I said it in my previous video or just in the article for this, but the Scald over-buff and Medicham getting nerfed into the ground really makes Annihilape "meta" and not "overwhelming Season 8 Shadow Nidoqueen Tier Godliness." It's really good, but it's not the second coming of Thrud.
