Anno is such a life destroyer, it's a game you can play 12 hours a day for three months just to finish a long difficult game

and it's always a mandatory to play the game at least in the medium setting because the easy AI are truly dumb. don't want to expand and attack us. boring... the best setting is always the hard AI of course. but it's too hard only for expert players

This was a great review! I LOVE Anno 1800, I have been waiting to play all the DLCs until this last Cosmetic one is released in December, then going to try and start a new game, but dang! This scares me for how much stuff there is now, but also so excited they did this! Seriously, Anno 1800 is probably in my top 3 best replayable games of all time.

I know theres all kind of rules for what can say about this sponsor, but I feel like the primer "you know it, as the greatest mobile game of all time", is a sarcastic primer bit letting us all know to skip past the ad. Glad you made the vid and know you gotta do what you gotta do sponsor wise.

You can get x3 of your income actually but at the expense of conquering all island and optimizing the sizes. I didn't buy yet the new dlc.

The Engineer Skyscrapers are so much better looking. They are much closer to the height they ought to be and honestly the Investor towers look a little too austere.

I'm miles behind in this let's play but just wanted to jump ahead and say thanks, literally watching ep.10 of your second season now. I always loved the look of this game but found it a little too dense, after watching this though I know get it and really enjoy it. Keep up the great work as long as you can/ want, it's a great watch.

At 3:25 When you clicked on a building to measure its radius of influence. How did you get all the surrounding buildings to highlight in green?

It does it automatically. If it doesnt do it for you I have no idea why I’m afraid. I’m not using mods and didnt toggle any setting to make it happen.

For me it works when I hold down the Shift key after selecting a certain tier of housing.

With the potential balancing issues that the Docklands DLC brought, do you find that this DLC helps negate the 'overpoweredness' of the docklands building due to the incredible high demand required to fulfil?

Yes, to an extent. I still use my docklands for goods at lower tiers to make life easier - feels like a big shortcut to cut out various production chains. You could own high life and not docklands, so its not necessary but makes things easier

Yeah I seem to be having some issue where if I move the mouse over a building, the framerate goes bad. If I just hover the mouse over a road or off screen its fine. Trying to figure out whats causing it.

While I get that raid shadow legends is giving you A LOT of money for this ad and it's very difficult to say no it also gives very disingenuous vibes because everyone and their mother knows you dont like this shit. Have some self respect and say no to shit like that. Nothing wrong with paid ads but make sure that it's something that your subscribers wouldn't mind, like that wallet thing or smth.

I get that the devs felt tempted to make the Trump joke. Got to say it clashes with the feel-good escapism the game provides; can't imagine many players want to be reminded of the dumpster fire of American politics while playing. Should have been made an Easter egg if anything.

I mean, the game includes jokes about alternative facts/media manipulation, colonialism, globalism, classism, and ribs on anarchy, communism, monarchism, and to a much quieter degree capitalism, so why not

Woke devs with TDS can't help themselves. Shoehorning in women empowerment with a non-sense plot. Yes, there was actual worker strikes and anarchists in 1800s, those are historically accurate theming for the game. Make the plot device better, or relate it to the women's sufferage movement, which did historically start in 1850s. Otherwise the whole thing just looks out of place.

He is endorsing a garbage game and convincing his audience to download and play it. If he thinks the game is not actually good he shouldn't be doing that and instead find something he actually thinks is good to endorse.

No, ofc he isnt thinking Raid is a good game. Everyone knows its garbage. These are essentially lines he has to say as part of the sponsorship. Apparently raid is throwing ad money around like crazy to youtubers. And i dont really mind in general, sombody needs to pay the bills, but I do think thats its at least a little bit unfortunate for youtubers who review games as part of their channel who then get paid to pretend that raid isnt just a steaming pile of pay to win mobile trash.

When this popped on my recommended I was looking forward to seeing it, but you lost me at "the greatest mobile game of all time". Thanks for the heads up anyway. Too bad I won't get to see the rest of your video. Raid the game is garbage and their cookie-cutter ad pieces and illegal marketing practices are so annoying I just click off the video the moment I hear the name or the characteristic ad text.
