It looks to be going pretty well, I hope you can get that air quality up in time though. It's indeed a tough and stressful task balancing the needs with huge ecological impacts against the environment. Almost sounds like real life 😅 I would think they will implement some mechanics, like the water and the canals in Anno 117. Romans were famous for their waterways of course.
It would be very cool if they implement some of these ideas into Anno 117! I would assume an Aqueduct of some sort would be in the works, perhaps as a great project with phases? I think that would make sense considering how long it took for them to build one. You'd have to have an island/territory with water coming from a mountain and then have to connect it to said location. If they implement a Trade Union system, which I would HOPE they would, then it could increase the area of effectiveness of the Aqueduct or OR bring in some Seasons of Silver to fill the basins with different seasons!!!! Just minus the horrid -100% penalties for certain productions!! Wait that's actually an immersive idea....LOL!!!

To tell you the truth I have no clue and I am beyond terrified of finding out what happens hahahahaha!!! Yea ONLY A FRIGATE would do that to me. Had to go on a whole worldwide journey to save a poor defenseless turtle caught in a horrible net!! She has so much trauma and I feel bad, my lord Duke. I feel bad that we were unable to help save these people sooner! The Imperium will make La Corona, especially King João, pay for this. Mark my words!
