I will take a wild guess and say you cannot park your vehicles inside your own garage because of hoarding. Basics of moving Step: 1.- Call the junk haulers, leave only the essentials 2.- pack said essentials 3.- happily move about 25% of the stuff you thought needed to be moved into your new place. I just decreased the workload by 75% at very little cost, you are welcome

@@FurrKnight With haulers + my parents moving my stuff from my small-ish student apartment to the next took a day. So even if you basically only have your essentials it takes time.

No one over 30 should be moving themselves. Moving is a young man's game, it's not worth risking your body. Edit: I mean the literally moving boxes part. You can move houses! Also, this game looks fun!

House moving is a weird job but yup it works muscles in an odd way. When i did it for a few years i learned to hate oak furniture and old dining room tables. I imagined evil in the form of a large oak dining room table that seemed to have been put in place and the room built around it. 😅

Oh wow, I feel you so much for the moving Splat. Take care and be careful. Two moves ago I developed an umbilical hernia (not a severe one luckily) do to straining too much over 3 days crunch in moving boxes so I had to hire someone to pack our stuff the last move (and hopefully the last). Costed me A TON and the packaged stuff was all messed up anyway. And on top now I have to go into surgery to fix the hernia. Pace yourself and be careful! We are not young lads anymore! D:

@@msolomonii9825 In the US and other 3rd world countries, mate. That being said, letting a stranger close to your stuff and personal space leaves a bad taste in the mouth - 3rd world country or not. A person should have friends and family. Ask them very nicely to help you move, and reciprocate their kindness. That is what I did. Hernias are no joke. Splat doing heavy weight training for decades certainly knows about that, and also his body's limits and how to lift things properly. Although I've been telling my father (physical worker) to watch out with lifting things, because he will get a hernia. I kept telling him for like 20 years, then he finally got his hernia for his macho bullshit, like his father before him, and my cousin. smh, some people...

Age of Sail games are sorely lacking. I’m not talking about generic pirate games, but rather games that factor in crew recruitment, trading, sailing, ship to ship combat, boarding combat, land combat, privateering, political maneuvering, fleet management, etc. Basically my dream game is something like Sid Meier’s Pirates with AC: Black Flag ship combat, Bannerlord land combat for raiding forts and towns, Mass Effect style NPCs I can recruit as officers, and the Nemesis system from Mordor for generating enemy ship captains. Bonus points for a strong central narrative campaign that allows me to keep playing in sandbox mode after I finish it. It’ll never happen, but that’s the dream

Ancient Art of War at Sea; this was a GREAT game from the 1980's. Had customization (for the time period anyway), and I remember sinking lots of hours into it.

I think it's in kind of a bad taste to show how shitty games are. I mean, the games of indie devs, Diablo 4 and New World and the likes absolutely deserve all the hate they can get, lol. But the negativity is hard to wash, and ridiculing or displaying the bad stuff of someone's honest best try to make a game is somewhat bad. I vote for just showing the better games.

@splattercatgaming blood and gold: Caribbean. That's the game you're looking for :) It's got the whole mount and blade combat, but both on land and for boarding ships. It also has cannons for your infantry if that tickles your fancy. It's very much built off the first mount and blade, you can take over cities and upgrade them also.

You ever play any of the Port Royale games, Splat? Less arcadey, with more of an emphasis on trade - though you can still get involved in piracy and naval battles. In those, you do need to worry about things like wind direction, and as a ship's sails get more damaged, its speed and maneuverability start to suffer. You can eventually get into buying and building up your own land and production and stuff, but the focus in the early game is much more on managing your ships and trading.

Fun fact, one of the ships they used in Pirates of the Caribbean is the Lady Washington that sails out of Aberdeen up here in Washington. My sister was volunteer crew on it a couple times, along with some of the people who manned it during filming.

Good luck with the move, you can do it! No matter how long you need between videos is ok. Take your time and look after your physical and mental health. That's the most important. No matter how long we have to wait we will be here whenever you come back. I like the graphics in this game. The water looks so good! Hearing and seeing mock canon fire would be sick! I went to a civil war reinactment at a local castle. They did a musket firing with blanks. But they were super close by so you could feel a shockwave from the guns and it reverberated in my ears. It was much louder then I expected. Thankfully I did not take a bullet to the knee.

As the one who always have to do heavy lifting or is roped into moving every single time, I feel you. I'm also a weakling these days but I used to deliver refrigerators, washing machines and that type of stuff and the technique has saved my bacon (and my back) more than one time. Ships that stop immediately and rotate around like office chairs look funny, neatly planned square grid pirate town look funny as well. I think the devs chose the setting but didn't work with it properly. Replace pirates with space coloniers and ships with tanks or rowers and everything will look much more ogranic

Not sure if you've seen it, but Naval Action might be worth looking into. I played it back during beta and it was a lot of fun. The downside is that the developer is pretty controversial and the game heavily stagnated years ago. But, if you're looking for an age of sail combat sim, it's way up there.

" Blood and Gold: Caribbean " is a "mount and blade" pirate game with naval combat, land combat, and almost all that other shit u asked for around the 6 min mark. its got its bugs, but i got to say no other game gives me that same feeling as this one. just something about leading the land assault against a great fortress as your 4 first rate ship of the line pound it down to its foundations before your very eyes :)

I'm pretty sure the word "pirate" is being heavily misused at this point. You're not pirating if you have a nation, you're just the government. The need for diversity in every game is mind-boggling. There were no asian female pirates in the Caribbean. There were no female pirates, for that matter, except maybe one person. I can't take the game seriously. The game world is definitely not serious.

I'd hardly call a couple of tiny island settlements a 'nation'. Just because you have a handful of plantations and rum distilleries, it doesn't legitimize acts of piracy. Hell, even with the weight of a proper nation like England or France or Spain behind you, the line between privateering and piracy could be pretty thin, in practice. The towns of Port Royal and Tortuga (owned by the English and the French respectively) were famous for being dens of active piracy, where you were welcome to make port whether you had a letter of marque or not, so long as you were stealing from the Spanish. As for the need for diversity in games, it's probably something to do with there being a market for a wider demographic. People enjoy representation, and it generally doesn't hurt anything. Especially when we're talking about works of fiction and fantasy, which I'd say this game falls squarely into. It's a light, arcade-y sort of RTS colony builder with a fun pirate veneer - and I don't think it's trying very hard to pretend to be anything deeper than that. But if we're talking historical accuracy here, in real life there were about 40 known female pirates who were active during the golden age of piracy. Even the laziest 10-second google search for "women in piracy" will bring up a handful of names of the more notorious ones, if anyone's interested.

@@BardMichaelKelly You must have not been paying any attention to the last 10 years of pop culture or live in a bubble. "Diversity" is literally a euphemism for "no white males allowed" and the "wider demographic" doesn't exist, see the failures of Suicide Squad KTJL, Forspoken, Saints Row 5, Redfall that shuttered studios. The central and almost exclusive demographic for console and PC games is white males aged 18-34, a demographic that the culture industry hates for existing.

The best "pirate" game I've ever played was in SNES called Uncharted 2: New Horizons. They knew what they were doing when they made that game. The 2nd best one is Assassin's creed - Black flag. Unfortunately I didnt play Sid meyers pirates back in the day, I'm sure it is very good, but I just can't play it.

So it's not really the kind of thing you normally review - but look into Uncharted Waters Origin. It's flooded with gacha type crap and it's an obvious money grab... but if you ever played the original Uncharted Waters/2 on the old 16 bit consoles, you'll LOVE it for the nostalgia.

This looks SOOO much like Anno 1800 but like... indie. Looks pretty decent too aside from the combat. I'd rather see see a bit more animation, the ships sailing around each other. Might be a little thing but it looks kind of dumb to me. Also that pirate game you were mentioning Splat, techincally was released recently called Carribean Legend, it's pretty much a straight port of the original game which... isn't amazing but it's still out there lol

This game looks like a rogue Ubisoft employee copied the ANNO 1800 code onto a portable drive, took it home, uncompiled it, tweaked it to a pirate game, didn't bother to change menu color scheme, recompiled it and put it up on steam.

I love the Tropico games, even though I've never managed to get very far into one, and this very much looks like Tropico with piracy added on, which I will admit Tropico 2 was that, but with far less piracy content. In short, this game looks pretty cool.

Heavy weight lifting does not come with high endurance. Look up a video of really muscular people swimming (especially if they are dieting to achieve low body fat): Muscle mass is really heavy - heavier than fat tissue or organs and bones and so on. And they also require a LOT of oxygen and energy, which your lungs and heart and other systems need to supply. I have a really muscular dad body now, but for around 15 years I had a really muscular, fairly lean body due to a mix of weight training (125-130kg benchpress max), and like 10 different sports. I always had extremely good stamina (I could do hundreds of pushups in one go, or climb rope until the cows come home). Maybe because I mixed things, or maybe I am a mutant. I am around 30kg overweight now, and just looking at the steps makes my heart explode :3

Anyone who looked up the history of the pirates republic would know the name is really not that bad, the pirates republic was the first successful anarchy government that I know of, it was destroyed by war not economic instability turns out the pirates that wanted to ignore the English empire had the right idea picking a fight with the English empire was not a good idea, where the pirates fleet could fight on equal terms the empire had a cleaver leader!

the last time i moved i did it all on my own and it took me about a week. and i WAS out of shape. maybe you need to change up your diet. i did keto back then
