It does that to everyone. You ever seen the grizzled diner ladies who've been working there for 30 years? Yeah, everyone who's ever been a server has mad respect for those ladies because they have some semblance of their sanity intact.
I thought it would be more like "They ordered just 2 club sandwiches with potato chips and sodas. You ordered 7 different cocktails, 5 different appetizers, and 8 different entrees!"
@@TheNorthie Internet research is so easy! Try it. "Yout is a slang term that originated in Jamaica and is a shortened version of the word “youth.” It is especially associated with Jamaican Creole and Caribbean English."
This is inexplicably made funnier by the customer being a knockoff mafiosi. Waiters so over it he’d swim with the fishes before serving that table a single trout early
Pretty sure that's the answer for most customers in your videos!🤣🤣🤣❤️ Ps, I'm amazed that you're so thorough that you film the introductions to \each/ of your videos, as opposed to re-using, "Things you wish you...."👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was verging on being one of these annoying people in a restaurant the other day when the waitress insisted all the ice cream contained gluten, which seemed really odd to me, but then I remembered these videos and thought "I don't want to be *that* person" and had the tarte caprese instead 😋
As a line cook it all depends on how many people you are, what you order, how you order. Did you order an appetizer that takes 2 minutes to cook or 10 minutes to cook?
Even in fast food they call people by number and they'll skip around depending on what was ordered. I love it when a customer gets mad because his number wasn't called yet and yet he ordered 50 items, while everyone else ordered 3 or 4 items.
You should do some fast food ones. I got plenty of stories... Like when I got written up because this guy came in during our busiest lunch rush and got mad that his food wasn't ready the SECOND he walked through the door, constantly interrupted me trying to finish a group order only to be told I'll be right with him, yelled at me because it took me "8-10 minutes" (his words, not mine, and he couldn't even keep his story straight), got even more mad because I didn't participate in his little screaming match, THREATENED me, then went crying to the actual store owner rather than corporate and lied about the whole situation before going online and filling out the survey with said lies but didn't even have the right time frame and accidentally put a date and time that I actually didn't work, meaning, if I hadn't gotten written up the same day it all happened, I could have contested the write up and pointed out that I didn't work the day or time he claimed the incident occured. Yeah, baby Karen was just mad I didn't treat him like a princess or give him the attention he wanted, but, being autistic, I could have gotten him in sooooo much trouble if he tried to follow through on those threats...
I once went to a Chinese place where they served people as the food was cooked so there was one person who didn't have food the longest. I don't remember why but for some reason one person got their food cooked twice so somebody else took the second plate and nobody was charged for it.
As a cook myself I have heard all of this from the wait staff cause they kindly save the customer and let us hear about it instead lol love the FOH frontlines 🤘🏻❤️ Golden rule: do NOT FUCK with people who make your food!
I understand your point. But this has happened to me before. We were a Party of 4 and several other tables w 4 or more people got their orders. After we complained, we found out our server didn't put our orders in at all. Even after our orders were finally in, it took them another 45 mins to get our food.
At my restaurant job, if there were a few smaller tickets that could be done quickly before a larger table we would do those first Clears the line, opens up cooling space, and more
Okay but there were times where I'm in a party of two waiting for two hours while the party of 10 who came in 45 minutes after I came in gets their food first. Sometimes servers forget or something..
I was on a date at a family owned restaurant when a man at the next table made the same complaint. We received our meals before his table of ten, even though they ordered right before we did. The owner had to talk to the table explaining that the fact that each one of them made changes or substitutions to their orders was also why they had to wait longer for their meals. After he gave his calm explanation and walked away, he group got up and left. I found the owner and told him but he just smiled. It turns out he had the chef hold off on fulfilling their orders. He said making a$$holes wait longer usually easily frustrates them and they leave. He did change the menu to read that any changes or substitutions may result in a higher price for that dish.
Oh them? Thats Tony and Sarah, they are here every thursday night at the exact same time and order the exact same thing. The chef always has their food ready by the time they are seated!
Also the people at the table of 2 got salads or something else super easy and quick to make, while the table of 7 that complains about them getting their food before they did all ordered well done steaks or souffle or some other long difficult dishes.
Once an old man was ranting about food taking too long saying "the soup that is served at the local dinner is ready in 5 minutes!" (Keep in mind, that kind of soup the man was talking about is usually just warmed up and served with rice, we were making Paella for him which takes about 20 minutes because it has to get cooked) I just told him "you can't just compare that" and left My boss gave me a write off
And also what was ordered? A bunch of instructions like leave off all spices and make the steak extra well done, and potatoes in their jackets? Or soup and a sandwich?
The fact that the customer has to count how many people is in his own table shows how dumn he is 😂 the impatience is so real never understandood why they are always in a hurry their going nowhere
