Every time you showed the touch faders on the left they looked like they were set differently. I sure wish you guys were better at really telling us what exactly sound patch you using with what app and what settings, that would make a huge difference on these videos actually being worthwhile. We are going to try this at home and just have to crazy wild guesses and then will be left feeling frustrated trying to reproduce this sound. :(
My ideal would be these videos to state just after the intro, "for this demonstration I'm running the Cello patch by SWAM, using these settings XYZ to get this sounds, running through the Ableton live daw with these settings to achieve XYZ final sound. On the seaboard I'm using the faders to adjust XYZ play styles. For the end results...", then do the rest of the video showing whatever you like. This way we're (the Roli seaboard community) way more connected to whats shown and empowered by the guidance. Small request
pls fix your supply issues and customer support first....I have the seaboard rise 25....great keyboard but suddenly totally unresponsive...told customer support, paid for spare parts to fix my issue....been waiting for several month now....
My exact thoughts! Excellent question. On the Roli site article with this vid they mention Equator 2, but I think you hear the same thing as me, this sounds like SWAM.
@@erichaberman3812it would make sense for it to be Swam, Spitfire or CineSamples dont have anything crazy like this for MPE yet I dont think and this sounds like sampled cello vs synth cello which is what it would be is E2. Love this keyboard so fun to play on once you get all the preset stuff done.
@@monterizziniccolo5233 SWAM and Equator 2 are very different. SWAM is a very specific sound generator modeled to sound very close to real orchestra instruments, more close then you'd get with normal sampled sounds, most of those extremely natural cello and violin sounds you hear in these videos. Equator 2 is a synthesizer program made by Roli that you can use like a normal but very advanced synthesizer program. E2 is where you'd find all the different sounds and patches which are highly adjustable that you hear in most of these videos. SWAM is very expensive extra purchase you would do if you really want to play an symphony instrument. Equator 2 is what you got for free when buying the Rise2 and will be your primary generator of all non symphonic patches. Both are fully MPE capable
@@monterizziniccolo5233 Audio Modeling makes the SWAM plugins, they’re physically modeled individual instruments like Cello, Violin, Flute, Saxophone, etc. They’re pretty expensive (violin is $120), but they sound amazing with an expressive controller like the seaboard. They aren’t just sampled sounds, they use some complicated modeling tech to synthesize the sound of each instrument. You likely won’t find a better straight cello sound out there, but it can’t do 1% of what Equator 2 can do. So the SWAM plugins are great if you want a straightforward expressive traditional acoustic instrument sound, while Equator 2 is amazing for any other kind of sound you can dream up. It also uses samples of acoustic instruments to get some pretty decent accoustic sounds itself.
