Anatomically speaking, what exactly is the difference between mucosal rectal prolapse and hemorrhoids? Is it that every case of (external) hemorrhoids involves mucosal prolapse as (external) hemorrhoids are dilated veins embedded in the rectal wall protruding, while a mucosal prolapse can involve the wall's tissues w/o involving any vessels? Is there maybe a good picture showing the difference clearly? Thank you very much for your playlist, you're saving my rotation!
