Anorexic Models are a curse on fashion modeling. People know that anorexia nervosa is a serious eating disorder.
Yet many girls aspire to look thin and loss weight unnaturally. so that they can model in fashion shows. Top Fashion week star models diet in the extreme. Many of these girls look at their body and think they are fat. This is the right moment to encourage girls to more healthy eating habits and not be taken in by anorexic model in glamour fashion magazines. It seems that women in modeling world admire a skinny anorexic model. They want to wear the smallest size clothing. I Think many a modeling agency and the modeling industry as a whole encourage this anorexic look, feeling it looks good on the runway. Modeling agencies should stop encouraging this.
Not that the girls have to become plus size. Model wannabees don't want to end up like the model Carolina Reston who died of anorexia nervosa

It's true the fashion world perpetuates the overly skinny, willowy image, but girls can pick up an eating disorder in so many ways--often in response to those they love and care about and even as a way to separate themselves from others around them. However it begins, if it is fed and perpetuated, it can become a full-out obsession with mental and spiritual damage as well as physical. It literally takes over your life. Many fashion designers claim they need extremely thin models to make the clothes hang correctly. I have a better idea, why not design clothes for the natural curves of a woman regardless of size? Honestly, if designers want a skinny 10 year old boys body, why don't they just have skinny 10 year old boys wear the damn clothes!

Some models who are not really anorexic turned out to be one once they start to work as a runway or a magazine model, they get addicted to be so damn thin and when they became boney that's when they are satisfied with their weight, I wish they could fight Anorexia , having some flesh in our body is cool :)

What's even more disgusting is that the creator of this video and people commenting automatically assume everyone who is thin has anorexia. It's like saying every girl with short hair is a lesbian. They have absolutely NO idea what is going on in someone's mind, yet they just assume based off how they look. How is that right?

While I agree with not calling them disgusting, I don't think that girls that are dangerously underweight should be allowed to model. Keeping girls with this disease in the modeling industry often only worsens their condition as no one around them is willing to help them and the industry continues to push them to be thinner and thinner. To make matters worse, young girls that see their photos will want to look like them too. Israel banned underweight models: a good, life-saving thing, imo.

Some anorexic chicks do the same! why do you think its a mental disorder?! they got that way for a reason. some think they SHOULD look that way and panic about being too fat! some over weight women are proud of being plus-size, yes, but so are some grossly skinny women. At the end of the day, it's two different kinds of people, BOTH with an addiction. it's sad and it's difficult.

Because most people who are obese go around shoving their fat pride in everyone else's face (i.e. "REAL women have 'curves'"). If they would just fess up and admit they had a binge eating problem, like I know at least 90% of obese people do, then yes, I would DEFINITELY sympathize, because binge eating is a tough thing to tackle.

Sweetie, maybe you need to think this over again. They're obviously not disgusting since they're human beings and deserve respect but the thing is...they should NOT be modeling because they suffer from a disease that is not supposed to be either encouraged, acclaimed or glorified which is exactly what the Fashion Industry is doing by portraying this thinness as glamorous!!!those girls should not be on the cover of a magazine, THEY SHOULD BE HELPED INSTEAD, possibly by taking them to a doctor!!!

I was looking for source material for teaching about the body beautiful with my year 11. But this is just to horrific and ghastly, and I cannot show such graphic material. I feel such pity for JEDIBELIEBERPOTTER - this is ugly, not beautiful, and if you do have weight issues, I can thoroughly recommend Slimmingworld as an answer, long term and no quick fix - but much much better. Truly - I know of many many success stories.

of course you wont. I was anorexic, so lemme explain. At first, I just had a fear of getting fat. So I stopped eating. When I wanted to eat, I wouldnt. I didnt kno this was an eating disorder, this started at age 5. Later on, I got really thin, But I didnt see it. Others called me too thin. Anorexia is all in the head. It took me 3 years to look normal weighted. But...if u become anorexic, you will see how hard it is to eat and not feel guilty. Trust me, u dont wanna go through it.

Models dont get it. Your meant to be tall. Not ugly stretches of skin over bone. Its skinny, not bony. Being a modwl isnt important!

But people who get called fat DO get sympathy. It's horrible when someone gets called fat, yet the same people make fun of others for being anorexic and being way too skinny. So its okay for people to say someones anorexic, but it's bad to call someone fat...it's not like people chose this.

I started out downloading Blonde, Bruettes & Redheads and then got bored, I then really got into BALD Chicks (Seade, Brittney) and got bored with that. I tried Black Women, Asian Women, Hispanic Women and Indian Women. Listen sweetie, the thing is who cares if they're disgusting or not, they human beings and that's enough of a reason to respect them but they shouldn't be modeling cuz a disease should NOT be either encouraged or acclaimed od glorified which is exactly what the Fashion Industry is doing. Those girls should NOT be on a cover of a magazine, they should be helped and sent to a doctor...maybe you need to think this over a little more!

Please don't. It's not worth it. You'll be so weak and feel so awful. Your hair will fall out, your fingernails will turn weak and brittle, and your teeth will fall out. Your bones will grow weak and fragile and you'll be cold all the time. And you could eventually fall in a coma and die once your organs start to give out. Please, take it from me, do yourself a favor and don't succumb to the disease. Get help. Stop looking at images of anorexic models. You have your whole life to live. Please.

No! Over size uk 10 then u are a plus size model but otherwise you can be a model at 0,4,6,8,10 in the uk cuz I'm brittish I don't know what sizes for ur country xx

@ziaolol Its funny you say pretty, because high fashion is not suppose to be pretty, high fashion want girls to look and be different. I'm not saying its ok btw, Just stating being pretty is not the aim.
