You are the salvage queen and a f***ing awesome sea buccaneer. I´m taking a lessons from you in my own small world. My car broke down and needed rescue. I´m pressured to give it up by family, but no, I will salvage it, and make it run on water instead. If I learn the car inside and out, then next thing may be an affordable camper van, and next after that I may also fix a sailboat. Dreaming.... yes I know.

First, kudos to your songwriter/singer. GREAT job ! I love the intro. A bit long, but it is a very good quick "history" of how you got to where you are. Second, I have been following Holly for several years now. Long before help dinghy accident (thank God you survived). Holy has shown up on SO MANY other RU-vid sailing channels. She is just an amazing person, willing to give the shirt off he back, along with a dress, hat and sandals to those in more need than herself. What an amazing person. Proof that there are still GOOD PEOPLE in this world. Here is hoping the good karma she has distributed for years comes back 10-fold ! Last it make me happy to see Holly so happy ! Not sure if it is the new "to her" boat, or finding a "significant other" willing to work as hard as her.

woah I remember when I was in the army, I got my jeep back from Kabul, after 2 months of cleaning desertsand I still got sand in my face every time I turn on the air-blower.

You 2 are amazing ppl.. Just watched two boats cut up ,after coming of their moorings, in a three day 60 pluss knt storm we just had, in wellington NZ ,so good to see something saved, from a certain death,,,cudos guys ,, great job ,

I was just wondering now that covid restrictions are easing weather there is any word on your other boat, Sand box is great but the sale of the old boat could be put to good use by you toward Sandboxs rebuild

I work at a salvage yard. I have a steering pedestal, wheel and other things you might be interested in.

So glad to see you hale and hearty and making progress. I expect you will be vacuuming up sand for several years yet. Perhaps this is too obvious, but is it possible there are no zincs left and that is the cause of the stray voltage?

Are the wires connected to an anode on the outside of the boat? Usually they are connected to the rig to provide a good path for a lightning strike so it doesn’t drill a hole through your boat when you get a lightning strike.

Yea, another post from Another Adventure, (see what I did there) sorry still so many issues. One thing you might want to get is Lazar Thermometer. When you found the 4-volt problem the sand was acting light a resistor. Resistance = heat that thermometer would make it easier & faster in the future.

I was having some voltage drops in random places. I traced it down and cut out many of those terrible quality (round) Jeanneau harness connectors below deck and direct spliced. Problem solved. -Aaron Reacher

Wow, that's a ton of work you're putting in! I hope you've sorted out the electrical mystery. Voltage still present with everything disconnected, and no shore power or other vessels nearby, sounds like a galvanic cell voltage - different metals on the boat in contact with seawater creating a battery. I can't imagine what's making it so high though - 4v is like a fully-charged lithium-polymer battery. With everything you're taking apart so corroded, have you had a chance to check & replace sacrificial zinc anodes? As you're re-connecting things, it looks like latest thinking is to connect the keel to the mast for lightning protection, but not to connect it to the 12v grounding: www.westmarine.com/WestAdvisor/Marine-Grounding-Systems
