I read on the internet that as a child, Grado worked for his family as a fish schlonger at a seafood market in Wilmington, North Carolina. He learned his heavy solid skills wrangling giant Deaths Head Sea Crabs from the northern Atlantic & shibby slamming jumbo mega shrimp (commonly called lobsters). After a really bad break-up with his fiancee & being issued multiple warrants for his arrest, he took his sea-schlonging savings & fucked off to Europe at the tender age of eleven, where he settled in Scotland & started wearing a fanny pack.

For those of you who don't know who Grado is I recommend watching Insane Fight Club (3 episode bbc documentary) as this shows you the ins and out of ICW and goes particularly in depth on Grado both personally and professionally
