Another Copart Purchase - 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 - Better than Expected - Will it live on?? 

My parents once owned a D2 (2002 facelift) went greenlaning regulary BUT always got pressure washed underneath after, to rid of the mud/salt etc. They all rust regardless, but if washed underneath it prolonges the time the tin worm can get to work and always best to underseal 'em if you can.

Shame to see it go down. This is the price of relentless mud-plugging.

I would strip it and use it for parts of the body shells to strip it 😮

It may be worth seeing if The W worx are interested in taking this D2 as is, if you don’t need the loom. They have a RU-vid channel and fix up D2’s.

A rear quarter chassis would fix her up nicely and they are going for good money with a decent chassis.
