To take the HVAC out you only need to take the side panels off. You do not need to take everything off. He took off. I know this because I just did it with mine yesterday.

P38 not l322 surely. It looks like that leaking injector is the expensive one with the needle lift sensor in. Hopefully the copper washer underneath is leaking and not the injector body.

That little filter drain is a bit awkward - I shove a hose over it and drain it that way but you still get oil on the exhaust. If you think the Saab is bad the same engine in an Alfa is a nightmare - needs the inner arch removing. Thanks for posting the vent repair guide, really helpful that and very clear.

Them vp37 injection pumps are known to leak when they get old. I have a bmw and a p38 both same m51 engine. The bmw drains back to the tank overnight. I had to put a 1 way valve on the pipe to the pump although no visible leaks. There is a video on youtube if a guy changing the end seal in situ which looks like the area yours is leaking. The video is on a vw audi 1.9tdi engine which uses the same pump.

I just can’t get my head around electrical issues and really don’t know how you do it without resorting to alcohol 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏻

Hi I feel your pain with the P38 I have 2 of them although mine are V8's. Many of the electrical problems on a P38 can be attributed to the connector blocks in both footwell kick panels, they can get very green and dirty. Many people cut out the blocks and solder the wires together permanently. As far as wiring diagrams go RAVE workshop manual is your best bet. Good luck with it all. Jim.
