It's a very dedicated soulslike, heavily inspired by Dark Souls 1 specifically. It's really good and fun, but there's a bunch of technical issues that degrade the experience.

By the time you reach him you should be strong enough to take him out. It’s a matter of picking the right adaptations and stowaways.

I hate the bosses in this game. Mechanics are fun, but this guy for example has a strong grab attack, you cant see coming, when he uses his ink and you see shit. Feels cheap, so I took out the gun after some (good) attempts and joined in being cheap.

Even though I mostly play this with the gun I still enjoy the game it’s pretty unique
