Good trains in Hamilton. I like the Seaboard locomotives. Two very nice intermodals, second one very long. I’m seeing some new to me names on those. Thank you Scott for doing these. Much appreciated! ❤
Yeah, I'm nonplussed about the 50/50 heritage paint job and I think I mentioned that in a previous post. Still liked the Hamilton action and you can catch all of the locals you want, I'll watch them. Enjoyed this one much, thanks Scott!
I am 100% with you on those 50/50 heritage paint jobs. I find it a bit arrogant of the powers that be at CSX to include highly visible CSX branding on their heritage units. A good heritage paint job would look exactly like the locomotives that they herald the memory of, except for minimal branding of the railroad to which the locomotive belongs.
Thanks P. Yep, I just don't understand how CSX came up with this plan for their heritage units. I want to see them like they were, not half fallen, flag half corporate BS. NS did it right.
After some 3/4 length trains, we had a longer than usual intermodal with the Seaboard Coast Lines heritage unit. It was a great train and I like seeing them round the curve! Thank you, Scott. 😄😄😄😄❤❤❤❤
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Hamilton, Ohio, I like them, they're awesome, @1960gambit, Scott, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
Good morning, Scott. Seaboard Coast Line & Atlantic Coast Line RRs are from my home town of Jacksonville, NC when I was very young, really cool to see that Heritage unit. Hope you have a great day. It looks like Hurricane Debby is aiming straight for us as a Cat # 1 storm winds up to 90 mph. Keep Coast line of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia in your prayers; they are expecting up to 22 inches of rain. this will cause serious flooding in those low water areas, there will be much damage. Storm is due to hit us around Wednesday or Thursday and it is a slow mover which means more wind and rain damage including tornadoes. I have a brother and his family and kids live on the beach, they are already in escape mode from the area coming inland to my brother's home in Raleigh, I hope he will have something to go home too after the storm is over. Take care Scott, will you be in Glendale, today?
That is insane! 22 inches of rain is about half of what we get in a year. I guess the old saying " Batten down the hatches" is in full force down there right. Praying for a good outcome for all of you folks down there! 🙏
Yes Scott I was gonna correct you on that 141 because you’re video yesterday you caught it going north under 142 and the heritage unit was leading and now two days later you catching it going south and the other units leading but anyway you corrected yourself But as always my friend another awesome video and you stay safe out there and watch your back and I hope you’re healing up good and we will still be praying for you and will catch you on the next one
And I also feel the same way as you do about the CSX heritage units. They need to paint a whole locomotive the heritage color instead of just half of it but I guess they call her self saving money on paint. Lol
Thanks Timmy. Leg is doing fine, just have to heal up now. I think the 142 is the Northbound number and 141 is Southbound. That`s what they called out on the radio. As far as I know, even numbers go North and odd numbers go South but next week CSX could change them all again!
Thanks again for a great video! I sure appreciate you making it possible to see so many trains. Otherwise, I wouldn't have the opportunity. I'm sure there are others like me in the same situation. You are a genuinely good guy, Scott, and I believe you will be blessed in the future. We'll chat again soon, I hope. 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
Greetings! Love the term, 'skunked'. Don't here that much anymore. Wanted to share, I recorded my first freight train ever! I included a shout out to you and JawTooth. It is a colorful intermodal. You are my inspration. Thanks!
Good made video, mr 1960 gambit. When i see in trains of the railroadcompanies the heritage locomotives i think than: Why do when not that in Europa? Sorry i can you not give a anser, European do that not. Thx for this topvideo 🚆🚆👍👍💪💪👌🚆🚆 in Hamilton Ohio. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
I would love to see some European railroads do a heritage series of locomotives. That would be very cool to see for sure. Have a great Sunday Roelof! 😁
those 2 intermodals had 5 or 6 new companies to me on them!! that china shipping must be a small company or one that's went out you see enough of their boxes to know they existed but not enough to matter in the business!!
It`s about the same every day. You will have busy times then nothing for 2 or 3 hours. Mornings are usually good and then after about 2 or 3 PM it will begin to pick up again. They probably see about 25 to 30 in 24 hours there.
So far, I've only seen four of CSX's new 'heritage' units (I put 'heritage' in quotation marks because CSX clearly does not want to do what NS did with their 20 heritage units back in 2012 - paint the locomotives in full 'fallen flag' colors), and the SCL 1967 was one of them. I saw it leading eastbound intermodal I-010 through New London (which is in Huron County) on August 7th. The other three 'heritage' units I've seen were the Baltimore & Ohio 1827 (twice), the L&N 1850, and the Western Maryland 1852 (twice), all on the New Castle Subdivision in northern Wayne County (Sterling, between Creston and Rittman).
Scott, I agree, how is that a heritage engine when it's half n half, I don't like that look either, we already know CSX them, this is new, I think I saw one on Jawtooth's videos, a newer one, had the same. Not a heritage unit to me, just my most humble opinion.
