Lucas! This is one of my most favorite videos you’ve done! Two cameras are better than one! So much fun seeing you ski from your Dad’s view & vice versa. I don’t mean to sound morbid, but my Dad died young, I was only 22. I would have loved to have more time with him… So to see how close you & papa Joe are, well, it just makes me feel so good, all warm inside! Sorry for being mushy, again, what a beautiful day @ The Bird, watching you both have so much fun!! Thanks!! PS: you are the best skier I know! You are too humble!! 👍
Love the content! In Cali we are still praying for more snow. Looks like Tahoe is about to get rained on. 😢 at least I can live vicariously through your channel! Keep it up!
Great video Lucas! Both you and Joe are skiing at a really high level. Anybody taking drops like that is legit. Also, I love the dialogue that you guys have on the mountain about terrain and the way to navigate the hill. What a great way to show good communication in ski partners.
Yeewww! Thanks for labeling everything...I follow along on Google Earth and you can pan and tilt and get a really good birds eye view of the terrain. Like a 3d map. Great Scott was DICEY!!!! my hands were sweating. I wouldn't watch these videos if you were a hot dog. Period. You and your Pop are a breath of fresh air in an increasingly vast and vapid internet. ✌
It is cool to see your relationship and dynamic with your father. It is clear you guys love and respect each other a lot. I sincerely mean it is a great thing. Thanks for sharing.
Love the longer vids, I like seeing the analysis you take before sending what could be a dangerous line. With how expensive a ski instructor is videos like this really come in handy when looking at what to send
Lukie. You and DAD are the only ones skiing among rocks and trees! So scary! Watched the whole thing clenching my teeth. Great skiing…..take care!❤ Gram
Dope video. Felt like I was there with you on the top. I know the camera never captures the true elevation of when your standing on Great Scott, but dang your POV came close. & that rock hit on STH was money, I got hyped. Peace
Loving the all videos Lucas, but there is extra Stoke when you ski with your dad. I skied the ARV 100 in the 179 and 186cm. It was fun, but I enjoy my larger platform Armada skis, Tracer 108 and JJ UL. I'm coming out to Park City tomorrow, hoping that someone in town demos the Whitewalker 116. I'd like to take a ride on that and compare to the JJ UL.
yoo thanks man!! ive never used the jj UL but my take on the WW116 vs JJ116 is that the JJ has a bit more camber and less rocker, so its a little bit more versatile as an all-mountain powder ski, where the WW116 is really a dedicated pow slayer! hope you enjoy your trip and thank you for the $10!!
Wow looked like a sick day! Snow looked rly nice especially off of gad 2! You were also getting wild sending it off anything and everything!! Sick vid my man!!!
You and @Oleeps are the best skiing RU-vidrs but I think you’re the best. Your videos are just high quality and very good at skiing. Keep it up, fire video
Thanks for getting me stoked. Taking my first trip to Snowbird from NorCal this week. Just a 3 day weekend, and not looking like we're gonna score serious pow, but it's gonna be leaps over the conditions in Tahoe right now. So stoked, thanks for getting me hyped.
Snowbird is my favorite mountain and it’s so great that you have this time with your father. I take my kids to snowbird every year and I can only wish that my kids still want to ski with me at 62. I’m not far off from that. I used to wait for them and now they wait for me.
I've been watching your channel long enough to know that you and your pops have a undeniable love for Great Scott, but It'd be cool to see you ride some of the other cirque runs. Tower 3, Glens, Lower and Middle Cirque. That'd be cool to see. Thanks for the continual inspiration!
yeah definitely need to explore other areas off the cirque more often. we like skiing barry barry steep, restaurant roll, daltons draw - diid shot 15 and 16 years ago - tower 3 last year, lower cirque and middle cirque just feels like you lose vert but all those runs are awesome.
Shout out to Joe. He is my age and I love to see his stoke. I really enjoy skiing the Bird with my two sons. We are from the northeast and have 2 weeks at the Iron Blosam. First one coming the second week in January. Then again in March. Can’t wait. Thanks for the videos.
It has been a couple of years since I skied the Bird .Having had a few seasons there I feel like it has never me. Here is the thing about the Bird You get better there or you get hurt and once you get better there you can never forget the Bird.
I just turned 66 and I would love to ski with Joe. Your father is a great skier. As I get older all my friends do not ski anymore. Kind of sucks to find people to ski with now. I live in Los Angeles so Mammoth is my go to mountain. Love days like you had with the sun on your back so you can see your shadow. Hope you can make it out to Mammoth again in 2024. You and your dad are better than average skiers.
Haha. Its good to be humble, but those who ski doubles at the Bird are not average skiers. Just saying :) You are an Expert skier bud. Not saying there arent some crazy, awesome extreme skiers out there. But, I dont think your an average ski guy :)
Love the back and forth POV between you and papa Joe. I also died after great Scott when he laughed at you and called you crazy😂 was up there Friday too but didn’t bump into ya!
Another awesome video as always Lucas!! I was just curious if you'd ever think about making a video on tips and tricks for higher level skiing and your thought process when doing chutes, and very steep terrain? Would be awesome if so! Love the videos, keep it up, and Joe is awesome as well, your guys relationship is awesome
ive thought about it. im just pretty tentative on doing ski tips/tricks because surely i would face a lot of internet backlash. so not sure if i really want to open up that can of worms if that makes sense.
