Your reaction when she started singing was just like mine. I'm a guitarist, 80's style and I don't pay much attention to the vocals. This song hit me cause of her singing. Also loved the back and forth of the guitars. I'm Japanese haven't been there in ages but when I was, I don't remember girls at the music stores playing instruments. I have no explanation as to the rise of girl bands but I'm not complaining at all. Its good for music like Ohtani is good for baseball.
I agree with you, the singer is phenomenal. The band members are the three you see in the video. The youngest guitarist is Li-sa-X, just 16 years old. The band is named after her. The other guitarist (with glasses) is Hazuki, from Nemophila. She is a member of both bands simultaneously. Could you also see SAISEIGA - RIDE ON?
Lisa has been playing for many young years and quite proficient but then she was also taught by Paul Gilbert of Mr.Big you can hear alot of his playing in her. Check Mr. Big first 2albums is all you need but they came out at the tail end of the 80's Metal scene when the music industry was replacing "shred metal guitar" with grunge no lead guitar talent! You can see him Mr Big "Live" in San Francisco and his smoking guitar solo and his bas player Billy Sheehan smoking bass guitar solo! Paul Gilbert married Japanese woman and made his school there in Japan. His wife now accompany him on keyboards during "Live" sessions.Another American shred guitarist and friend of Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman moved to Japan and the male guitarists in Japan picked up on them and also from another American badass, George Lynch from the band...Dokken, held clinics in Japan in the 90's. All the shredding you hear now is nothing new...it was already there in the end of Metal the music industry didn't want you to hear! But guys like you with fresh ears and your reaction are golden as if you struck gold! "NICE"...Oh , and Mr. Big had the best vocal harmonies in any Heavy Rock Band you will ever hear!( Lisa plays mainly Ibanez Guitars...like Paul Gilbert.)
