Beyond disgusting. 1st of all the cops were in HER house, why the hell do they need to see her I.D. in the 1st place? And while it's good that he's been charged it doesn't fix anything. An innocent woman is dead. There's no fixing that. Life in Prison is far too lenient in my opinion.
Police are there to enforce laws. They have no duty to protect you. They serve the government. My advice, exercise your 2A rights. If you fear a burglar might be in your home, deal with the threat, don’t call the police. They will not help you. As we saw here, they might do the opposite.

Supreme Court deemed that officers where not obligated to protect you (or me) or anyone. They are law enforcement, not protectors of citizens. Some might go beyond and above the call of duty. But “protecting” isn’t what they are here for. Again, exercise your 2A rights, and protect yourself. It’s your own responsibility.
@@DamnManSam They don't serve the government, they took an oath to serve and protect the people of the community they live in. Stop making it sound like cops are bad. Not all of them are bad. Just like in any other job, there are people who have nothing better to do but eff things up. The 2A is only when you have no other choice, you cannot use it as an excuse all the time. If you have the option to call the cops, why not? You are paying them anyway.

1. She never approached them with the water. 2. The officer was also discharged from the Army for “Severe Misconduct.” Pictures of his discharge papers show this. Do you know what you have to do to have those words on your official discharge paperwork? Something heinous.

@@antphresh8864Under Trump there were a little over 800 people per year killed in police sh**tings. Under this administration there's been an average of over 950 per year. The average number of blacks are roughly the same, around 230 per year, many more 'unknown race' under this administration for whatever. The numbers have gone up big time over the last 3 years. At least educate yourself.

This deputy has worked in let me get this straight, 6 law enforcement agencies in 4 years and 2 DUI's!!!? Who's at fault???? Not the deputy but the agencies that hired this pos.... I hope the family of that poor lady files a lawsuit against the law enforcement agency that hired him and ultimately fired him. For those that don't understand why a spiritual person would say "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus"...this is said when we believe that we're in the precence of a demon. Sonya said this after she noticed the police officers backing away from her as she placed the pot of hot water on the sink while wearing oven mitts. She noticed that they were reacting out of fear to what she was doing and said with a calm curious and disbelieving voice "what are y'all doing?" reacting in fear to me doing something normal. She probably was in disbelief because she knows she's not a person to be feared, the same person that continually showed love and appreciation since engaging the officers. So for them to fear her after being nothing but patient, complimentary, and kind, she clearly thought there must be a demon inside of them that fears her the believer in Jesus Christ. So naturally, as a follower of Jesus, we all say "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus", when we feel the precence or encounter negativity from a person, casting out any demons that may be present, because to fear her, and act out of fear to a humble, spiritual follower of Jesus, is reason to believe that you must be accompanied by a demon, so we say those powerful words, as told in the Bible itself. When you take an oath to uphold the law, I'm sure Jesus and God is mentioned at some point, as this country firmly believes in God. There's no law that the person who calls police has to show ID, you only show ID if an officer can articulate reasonable suspicion that you've committed a crime, are committing a crime, or are about to commit a crime, in sum if you are legally arrested.

@joshhudson282 Yes over a pot of water. If your life is threatened you have the option to retreat and call for back up in a situation you feel you don't have control. As a Firefighter/EMT in that very state I get called all the time by cops dealing with aggressive people with mental/behavioral issues. Not saying she was mentally ill but sometimes it's better to use finesse in a situation rather than force. A little patience and distance could've de-escalated the situation. This asshole should be under the jail there's no explaining this.
He ordered her go to shut off the boiling water, then called her a threat once she had the pot in her hand. His partner tried to get out of there many times because nothing was a problem (if you watch the whole video). Guy isn't going to see the outside of a prison.
