Wow. You have a massive collection. Yeah I'm at my max. No more products for me. The only exception may be a pallette here and there. I also have what I consider a drcebr Size collection. I started decluttering and find myself pissed at the money waisted. I give as much away to family and friends as I can. I'm definitely more conscious and intentional about my purchases. I'm with you 100%...I haven't been buying hardly anything for the last 6 months or so. My only weakness now is the special, multichrome/sparkly single eyeshadows from Indie brands, and occasionally an eyeshadow palette that catches my eye. That's it. I agree- it's infuriating when I think about how much I've spent over the last 5 years on beauty products 😔
Thank you! I don't have the setup for it- filming equipment isn't cheap. In the videos I've done before where I've done overhead filming, I've had to basically rig something up to work that way and it's a major pain in the rear and is immobile. Not the steadiest video, but it served its purpose 🤷♀️ either way, I appreciate the feedback 💜
I feel you on wanting to keep lipstick bottles. Years ago I found a old lipstick that had some cute Victorian era style art on it and kept it just for that. I eventually let it go when I moved out for the first time and it still hurts thinking on it. Don't even know the brand or color (besides the gross old remains looking orange toned), just the lovely art
I love seeing older makeup packaging... some of it is very luxe looking and just looks special. I think 100 years from now, people will look at some of the stuff we have now- especially with the mass production of makeup and all these different brands/indie brands, etc and they're just going to be scratching their heads 😂 food themed makeup, ketchup for gloss etc. The older days were a little more classy I think lol
Also I do have some make up that I don't use anymore in special storage. Other make up youtubers have called it a memory or memorial box. They're eyeshadows and lipsticks that remind me/belonged to my mom. A loose eyeshadow from the 80s when she did Avon, a lipstick she used almost daily after I gifted it to her when I was 13, as well as the eyeshadows she got me for senior prom and the lipstick I wore to her funeral and burial. Even though they're way beyond useability, I just can't toss them (unlike the other make up from her collection when I was given her make up and jewelry). And I don't think that's a problem~
@@MakeupwithMichelle oh yes, the packaging back then was very luxe! A lot were hefty metal, too. I remember the bottle was white and metal (or some other hefty material) with the art on the lid top
Looking forward to more of your content! If I can make a suggestion: for long videos like this, it would be better to keep the camera stable as you go through the products, and then move to a new position when you organize them all together (like at the end of each category). The panning back and forth between the products and the containers had a dizzying effect on me. Maybe having the camera be still would be easier for you too.
😂 Thank you for the feedback- so the way my stuff is set up and with the resources I have, it's hard to set it up close to my vanity if I'm filming at my vanity. I just filmed a swatch video like that and it's tough bc I have to film with the camera behind me. But I appreciate the feedback 💜 and I'll take it into consideration for the future and maybe just film them in a completely different way 🥰

I feel like eyeliner pencils can go in a brush container - you want them to be sitting up where you can see the color on the end, rather than in a drawer.

I'm sure you know already but just in case you don't. You can take the screws out of the runners from the inside of the drawer and then you can pull the drawers out fully. Just remember to hold onto it when you do that so it doesn't tip over. I just got a new Alex and told my hubby not to put the screws in this one and it makes life so much easier to see and get to the stuff at the back :0) xx

I have a similar blush collection and I wanted to declutter it the other day but I felt overwhelmed just looking at everything. I have way to many blushes 🤦♀️
🤣 the size of it is weird! Normally I do sharpen things like that- I've got plenty of plastic pencils that sharpen, but this one was larger lol I didn't try tho......I suppose it could've fit the larger hole on the sharpener but I didn't try bc it looked too big lol

Lol yeah, I don't want you getting alcohol poisoning 😂 My ankle is completely healed- thankfully! My stomach is getting mildly better. I know what's causing the episodes but I don't know what's causing the issue that's causing the episodes, if that makes sense 😂 I still have to get a lower scope done so they can try to figure that out. And I'm not sure about the sephora recommendation-I do like the new Haus Labs Bronzer...it's just very soft so you have to build it up. The Nouveau palette from ABH is really nice, too.
