The people in the background were singers and the audience (they are the jury-members). The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show in 2017. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. Dimash is back as a guest for this competion. Sitting backstage as one of the competitors, (the young man with the Elf-like eyes) is the famous Hua Chenyu. Originally I loved Hello by Lionel Ritchie but way too much Radio time killed it for me. 🙄 I adore Dimash's version.❤ Not just his voice but the addition of Eastern tones and instruments to suit his audience and the touching change to I Love You in Mandarin as not all the audience would know english. Another great reaction. My favorite outfits are his Hot Pink Suit "Meaning of Eternity", his amazing black Kazak leather outfit in Durdaraz/Almaty, and his newest custom black leather coat in "When I've Got You"MV. He also had a really cool black jacket with golden eagle in sequins but I cannot remember what performance or Concert that was. So I found out that someone commented to Lionel Ritchie that Dimash sang it better than him and Lionel was not happy at all so he prohibited Dimash to ever sing it again. It's ok, Dimash has so much material that he doesn't need to barrow songs from anyone. More power to you, Dimash❣️
