The box is so cute. I love it. Beautiful job. Like the others said, maybe cotton gloves underneath or they have, I think silicone type gloves. Michelle over at glitz and glitter is allergic to uv resin and would break out even though she wore gloves. She got some kind of special gloves and seems to help her. Get your hands all better. We are not going anywhere. Take care of yourself. 😊❤

It's contact dermatitis. You're more than likely allergic to whatever is in the gloves. Try using cotton gloves under any glove and during time away from resin use a steriod cream to help alleviate any itch

Also stress can contribute to Contact dermatitis. I only know this because my hands were worse than yours and since I eliminated my stressor and on occasions utilize steroid cream have managed to stay dermatitis free.

Michelle, don't be disappointed in your book box. That mold is notorious for bubbles. I don't know why, but I've never had such trouble with a mold. No matter what little trick i used, it was loaded with bubbles. I agree with the contact dermatitis. My daughter had a severe case of it. I was going to say the same thing about the gloves. Hope you heal soon.

It turned out beautifully Michelle… so pretty! And I’m happy to read that you’re going to get some cotton gloves… when my dermatitis flares up, it doesn’t matter what type of disposable glove I use, they will always make it worse (and I’m allergic to any of them)… putting cotton gloves underneath is the only thing that allows me to keep doing my resin art! And yes, I also use a cortisone cream several times as a day. You’re a better woman than me, being able to ignore nasty comments… it’s people like her that stop me from starting my own channel… I know I shouldn’t, but comments like that really effect me!! I have a friend that is allergic to a bunch of plastics. She can’t even buy milk in jugs. She’s allergic to latex. She ended up taping things to her arms to see what actually was causing it. Because they thought it was food, but it was actually the plastic fork. Maybe touching finished resin is doing it? Heck it could even be the molds!

So sorry about your hands. I KNOW the feeling. I used some gloves that were packaged with some resin thinking they were good gloves. They were latex and I'm still getting over it. One thing that did help with the symptoms was CeraVe itch relief moisturizing cream. Whenever my skin felt dry or itchy, I applied some more cream. Worked for me.

I agree that the problem is most likely the gloves. Wearing cotton gloves underneath is a great idea once you get your hands healed up.

So pretty, and that is coming from someone who doesn't really like pink. On the glove problem I have a lot of problems with latex I am deathly allergic to it. I have found some gloves at Auto Zone that are the best they are not latex and they protect your skin from all different kinds of toxic chemicals. They are called Venom Steel and they are completely latex free. They are 2 layer and they are pretty affordable you can usually get a box of 100 for under $20.

It sucks that you have to worry about algorithms when you need to heal, or that you have to worry about them at all! I will watch what you put out. I'm not a painter but I can watch you paint if that helps you. Prayers for a speedy recovery and figuring out what the issue is. ❤

I was doing diamond painting but my thumb started hurting because of arthritis so I stopped for a while!! So I really feel for you 🙏 Don’t give up just take a break 😊

I am a nail tech and my hands started to do the same thing after years of 91% alcohol and gel nail builders and monomers for acrylic and gloves as well. I have noticed alot of gloves and alcohol use along with demolding without gloves and there is a tacky and sticky which means your still adding another irritant to the situaion😢. Cotton gloves and nitral worked best for me but really a good cream from doctor and not touching with bare skin until completely wiped down with no tack layer before touching with bare skin. So sorry your experiencing this I totally understand your frustration. Good luck and will be watching

Also, alcohol breaks down the composition of components in nitrile and latex, this makes gloves porous enough for other chemicals to infiltrate to the skin. I would suggest keeping a bowl (gallon sized ice cream buckets work perfectly, and they have lids) or spray bottle with sudsy water for cleaning up the spilled resin from your work area and gloves instead of alcohol. One other thing, alcohol to clean skin with isn't good because it breaks down the resin small enough to allow your skin to absorb the resin.

@@Easeldoesitstudioyou should look into Silver Shield gloves, they are meant specifically for use with chemicals, they're expensive, but you can use them under your nitrile gloves quite a few times, and they come in the normal length and 16" length to cover your arms. Amazon has both, and a pack of 10 (5 pair) of the 16" ones are $56.00.

I will reach out to her. They are getting a little better. I got some new cream and it seems to be helping 🤞. I ordered some cotton gloves and new nitrile latex free gloves that are double thick to prevent chemicals from penetrating.
