MuggleNet had the opportunity to get a preview of the Percy Jackson Musical that will be heading out on a national tour after running off-Broadway in New York City.
iCY HOT and most of the original major cast is back with Chris. Basically everyone came back minus George (because Be More Chill is on off-broadway now), the guy who played Chiron and the lovely woman who played Sally Jackson and Selena, among other characters.
Jorrel really snapped when he did this. If y'all wanna see other things he's in, just look up Texas Musical Theatre, he graduated from there last year I think??
Katie Gardener: I REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY ACTIVITIES THAT ENCOURAGES THE SENSELESS SLAUGHTER OF OUR ARBOREAL FRIENDS!!! Mr. D : *psychopathically sharpens a pencil* Katie: O[]o
they managed to find someone who can play both grover and mr d amazingly not once but TWICE!! whoever's in charge of casting for this musical deserves a raise right this second please and thank u
Just so everyone knows, “the guy who replaced George” is named Jorrel Javier. He is beautiful. I personally believe he portrays the characters better, yes, George can sing well, but only a true and complete fan can portray the characters this well
Don’t get me wrong I love George Salazar but I don’t get comparing them. They’re both amazing at this roll but they both do it differently which is how it supposed to be everyone has their own interpretation of the character. Sorry it just annoys me when people constantly compare actors.
I mean, obviously people are going to compare them since Jorrel is literally George's replacement. And they did an amazing job casting him, he's very similar to George in a lot of ways. It's not necessarily a bad thing to compare them as long as people aren't being rude.
Why is no one talking about Kristin rolling James behind everyone while he shows off his sword skills as Luke, because that was honestly p r i c e l e s s. (And Sarah Beth with the “Save The Trees” sign as Katie = very funny as well) (Also: God I love Jorrel)
I really went through that, and enjoyed the acting and singing, while still pointing out each good picture opportunity that all the photographers missed xD
When I watched them in Charlotte, I think I heard Selena say “the tea” as she cried walking on stage. I really hope I didn’t mishear bc it was hilarious
