It's so nice to find an artist on RU-vid that doesn't primarily draw/paint people. I seldom draw people so a lot of sketchbook tours are very unrelatable. Your stuff is way more up my alley!!!

CeeCee! Please! You MUST answer this one question: I received TWO of those heavily cottoned India books and cannot seem to get ANYTHING done on them! Can you tell me if you worked on them, and if so, tell me, or show me, what you produced? The are magnificent watercolor books, but suck up the paint like the Mojave Desert! How were you able to overcome the thickness of the cotton pages??? WOW!!! They are crazy thick! I have a small square one, the other 8x10 size. Thank you!

So glad you talked about what happens when you finish a commissioned painting. I do the same thing. I work so hard on the commission and at the end am so glad to finish it. Then it’s finished and I suddenly feel like-Now what? I have plenty of other things I need to start but I feel kind of frozen. Glad to hear I’m not the only one.

Thank you for having the courage for sharing your process with us. I was particularly touched by your sharing the "lostness" and "letdown" you experience after intense focus on a big, all consuming project. How I identified with that! Even though my "pushes" are not necessarily artistic, I find myself in the same boat after symphony concerts and the series of intensive rehearsals preceding. Then I feel left emptied of ideas, energy, and motivation, but in great need of "something" at the same time. Thanks to your videos, I have been able to return to watercolor with doodling to soothe and restore myself, to get myself together again. So thank you for your vulnerability and sharing some of your life process. It helped me feel less weird and alone.

I thought I was ready to do a watercolor wreath early this am and realized olive leaves looked nothing at all like i was painting them .. We learn from our mistakes I suppose..Previous to this effort --> I did have great success painting your flavor balloons lolol they turned out great ...Under them i put the caption "GO AHEAD ..MAKE A BIG MESS " . and SO i DID ...Finally I practiced drawing and painting leaves this afternoon ..The olive leaf being the first one I practiced ..I love your work . This stuff takes practice .It is like music or writing If you want to do it well you have to practice it daily ...Watercolor is so much the opposite of what i have been doing the last 10 years so It is a challenge I may be using watercolor but im still painting as if i am using acrylic ..

So many beautiful paintings! I especially love the flowers done with the triangle brush, they look so delicate and I like pink. :-) I also love the pink forest and what you've done with the gold leaf, that effect is totally gorgeous! I love your work! Sometimes I don’t know what to paint. Thank you for this info. It helps to just get the paints out and on the paper then just do it. I too like the idea of working smaller and have always loved the ink look to set everything off. Thank you for sharing your book

Beautiful CeeCee - this book very beautifully demonstrates to me your artistic conundrum - you create beautiful loose florals with amazing detail but there is a part of you that seems to want to push through to more and more abstraction while still maintaining the detail work that you love so much! I look forward to seeing where this takes you. I may be projecting because I struggle between drawing realistic portraits and wanting to push through to more abstracted portraits. I hope I am not being too forward in saying all this but your artistic journey has been so interesting for me to watch and I am so grateful to all that you share. Of course I may just be completely off base in which case - please forgive my wonderings!

oh, Betty.... we speak the same language and are going through the same artistic battles it seems. you put the finger right into that sweet and somewhat painful spot. yes, the struggle to marry all these aspects of my art is real. every day brings a different mindset and lots and lots of question about incorporating all the different elements and styles i love so much. there is no need to forgive you for you speak the truth. plus, it somewhat reassures me that i am not the only one in this conundrum. may your weekend bring you creativity and "answers". xx

omg ive missed you so much after i watch one of your videos my creativity begins to flow some of the art work thats in the book here ive actually followed on video my artwork came out so beautiful and i actually felt so good about it ... this morning the videos were just going on and on of everyones channel and i wasn't watching any of it until i sat down and started seeing some type of flower you were doing on a diff video and im thinking gee i think i recognize the art looks like maybe its ceces work and i was just so relaxed and captured. some mornings i wake up with such anxiety and watching one of your videos always keeps me calm happy and not feel like oh i wish i can paint like that no its the opposite im like i cant wait to get starter lol yeah you have the affect on me your a brilliant artist! i can wait to get started on making my book i finally have a lot of paintings that i can make a couple of books and thats because of you thanks again lady your the best! :)
