At the 19 second mark I can see what was my church until they sold it around 1973, it used to be the First Baptist Church. Then later I see where Mays Hobby store used to be, ( 55 second mark on right side nearest park/ 3:15 mark as well) it had a cobblestone road from the 1700's on the left side ( now paved over I'm sure) . I lived there about twenty years in my childhood, the facades of the buildings have changed a bit but even after not being there about 40 years it is basically the same. Lot of good people and memories there
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. It’s funny how places don’t change much over time. I am originally from down the road in Milford and even though it’s grown there are still my stomping grounds that look the same. I spent a lot of time in the valley when I was in my teens so I enjoyed visiting back here as well as Seymour and derby. Will always be special to me. Thank you again for stopping in! 👍🏻🙂
Couldn’t stop viewing this videos. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity of viewing this. If everything goes right, I will move this place very soon I’m you are helping me to know something of the place. I’m very very grateful of what you shared.
WARNING...seeing this example of a small town behind the times somewhere in CT. it's evident the local closed up factory facades are hurting the towns visual aspect BIG TIME for economic success.
Multiple factories... Been gone for a LONG time and definitely impacted the area. Most of them are in a state of disrepair and are no longer worth saving, unfortunately.
Thanks so much for watching! I am pretty sure this was taken on a Sunday morning. I have a lot of cities from CT (and everywhere) scheduled so please be sure to stay tuned 👍😃
Thanks for watching, John! This video was taken early in the morning so that had a lot to do with the lack of traffic. Please be sure to subscribe and come back as I have a lot more Connecticut towns coming to the channel as well as more New England cities. Thanks again for watching 😀👍
