@The Insufferable Tool In my experience, atheists are extremely varied in worldview. Their atheism is often a product of something else. They just happen to find agreement on the question of belief in a deity. They are in no way a homogenous group, even though this is the way many preachers and apologists will treat them.

As I said in another post, read the Holy Bible and see the harmony of all the scripture that was written over a 2000 year time period by more than 40 God inspired authors. God's word will never change and stand forever, unlike us feeble mortals who are closer to death every breath we breathe

hard to believe in a benevolent and all-powerful god when atrocities like the holocaust are still in recent memory. also atheists aren't really amoral and that's not the reason most atheists give up their faith, usually it's either because they can't seem to find those "invisible signs" of god in a cold world, or because the church they grew up in was particularly oppressive
Maybe I can make it easier for you to understand then. God gave man free will. Man uses that free will to commit evil. God doesn't intervene because then we wouldn't have free will and he'd be a cosmic dictator. Instead He is the perfect judge, punishing the wicked and rewarding the holy. Hope this helps. Cheers

I'm still not sure how I feel about God ignoring atrocities like the Holocaust, but I do see the argument that the good are still rewarded and the bad are still punished in that more cosmic sense. Though, I will say, I think it's a little debatable whether God gave man free will. In Christianity it says Satan convinced Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, and though I recognize that "knowledge" isn't quite the same thing as "free will", I'd argue it gave Adam and Eve the ability to make meaningful and thought-out decisions - before then, they had "free will" in the same sense that a wild animal has free will, and I believe that the "free will" man exhibits is different from that. Wouldn't it be Satan who gave humanity free will, then?

They had the same free will before and after eating. And it was non animal like before eating. For instance, Adam chose all the names for animals with which God presented him.

Let me ask you this, if the people who mass murdered the jews were christians, do you think they would've gone out to kill all those people just cause "they are different from us"?. no they wouldn't cause it would be morally wrong to them, a true christian believer would never do that. let it be known tho, israel is God's chosen people. that will never change, one day God will come again, his second coming and that day he will take believers with him back to heaven and the non believers? you'll all just get thrown into the lake of fire

I don’t have a “love of self”. I DO have a certain preference though; the preference for good health and happiness for ALL humans and a desire to have an earth environment that is healthy and sustainable to live in.
Maybe all of the ones they asked were too closed to the idea of even being in an establishment like this, or maybe it's directed more toward people who are already Christian, the idea that surely at least one person would've said yes to showing up is flawed, it's not impossible that even if they asked 1000 atheists that none of them would've said yes.

No one knows the real answer to those questions and I don't see any use going with just "an answer" when it can't be shown that that answer is true. common sense like "if i cant see air then it doesn't exist" yeah? but you can feel it so you know its there, just like that we feel the presence of God in true christians. we know he exists and there are hundreds of millions of people who can testify about that. so many people miraculously saved because of prayer alone, when doctors say "there's no way he will live" the prayer alone has saved people. its not about "i dont see him so i dont believe him", its that he is there and time after time its been showed to you but you people just dont listen

There is pleasure in sin, but no joy. And the pleasure is short term because the guilt is inescapable as God has written of his divine nature in us. (We are image bearers of Him trying to suppress that truth daily so we can try to enjoy sin without guilt) Impossible.
When I saw the story of 'The Garden' and 'The Flood', among others, as MYTH the foundation of my faith turned to smoke and blew away. It was then I became atheist. There are other aspects of my de-conversion, but that's what got the ball rolling.
goshh!! the comments are full of atheist 😀😀 i am a Christian but love a lot of atheist because there are a lot of atheist who a seeking truth and answers to so many things but haven't yet found their answers and atheism is a good place to get stuck for a long time(even a lifetime) cos there is no answers to every questions and its easier to just live a world view of "i don't know" "i dont care" because seeking to find answers is exhausting especially when life hits with the burden of reality and with christianity the moral obligations that comes with it really outweight the sacrifice to put forward for struggling peoples... but for me i think Christianity is worth everything because I've stumbles upon so many answers that give me peace and life worth living, purpose a value into things, value into work and clarity in my choices, how i treat people and so many other things... i hope and pray for those atheist who are still struggling to get to the bottom (maybe alot of them already do) to find peace and i hope in your seeking you find the truth and clarity. . . cos we both christians and atheism don't know everything and can't provide every answer. . . we both need faith to perceive the unknown answers . . .
I am sorry you have been deceived by this world and the prince of this world. You know a lot of preachers and Christians believe homosexuality is the biggest sin simply based on the fact that it is mentioned so much in the Bible. However, Pride is the biggest sin. Our pride has the ability to get us into so much trouble. Trouble that could have been prevented if we would have only paid attention to the different options, opinions, or rational thinking. Instead we let our pride guide us through life and when it comes down to the end we have nothing. All sin is the result of pride. That's why Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and is now Satan(the adversary) and somehow even deceived one third of the angels in Heaven. The most profound atheist that I’ve heard of and that is TJ Kirk aka the Amazing atheist. Every video I’ve viewed on on his RU-vid channel is very disturbing and disruptive. In his videos has a lot of profanity words. And after I watched them, I gave everyone of them a thumbs down. As a way of disliking them. One book, the Koran which was inspired by satan in the 5th century claims Christ to be a prophet that will come back in the last days, the book of mormon claims Christ to be the Son of God and brother of Lucifer. The Hindus claim Christ to be a god just added to the list of their gods. Even the gnostic's claim Christ as to be someone other than a human. So Christ is acknowledged by pretty much every religion. This is where Christianity is set apart from the world. We acknowledge The Lord Jesus Christ as God in flesh. The only God. And our scripture which was laid out for us by the Jews has more historical, scientific, and archeological proof within its covers than any other single book in the history of the world. And it too more than 40 authors almost 2000 years to complete. In which all scripture of the Bible harmonizes in a way that no man or men could do alone. The Bible proves itself to be God's Word. Another thing that sets our God apart is the fulfillment of prophecy. No other religious book can give you future events that have come to pass and there is so much more that is still waiting to be fulfilled. Christianity is not a religion, it is Faith. And I know my God and he Knows me. Its something that you can only experience when you accept Christ as your savior. He is the only savior and the only way to heaven. Apparently you have not taken my challenge yet and ask God to prove himself to you.

Definitely not the Holy Bible, but as far as scientific the Lord tells us in the Bible that the world is round before anyone made the claim of a round earth. It just took evolution millions of years but it only took God 1 day and He breathed life into us. It’s impossible for life to come from non life. No matter how you look at it and most of the atheistic scientists agree with that. So life had to come from life.
