Clickbait is such a nasty word. "Clickability" is much more accurate. The Struggle for Small RU-vidrs • The Struggle for Small... MAIN CHANNEL / scottstol #ScottCramer
i always found "hey strugglers" one of the best intros out there. its not insulting at all, it actually makes the people who are struggling feel less alone bc the others are all struggling too. Just a bunch of strugglers :)
I agree and love how you put this! I think Scott assessed the situation quite right by saying the guy is obviously going through something. Hope this video helps him feel better and shows him that he is not alone!
“Struggles” doesn’t mean “loser” it means someone who’s trying but just having a difficult time, so many people. A loser wouldn’t try, there would be no struggle because there is nothing to struggle over.
Everyone is a struggler. Everyone who tries in life has struggled. It's like an acknowledgment that we are all trying our best. Part of the point of life is to challenge yourself, so of course, we are all going to struggle sometimes. I've never seen it as a negative thing, in fact, it's one of my favorite intros.
Scott, the first time I heard you say "what's up strugglers!" I thought it was brilliant. The whole idea of naming your fanbase some exclusive name always felt dumb to me. It felt like a VIP club that you could only join by buying their merch or watching their videos. Calling us strugglers means that you don't think that we should be in an exclusive club just because we watch you, it is a welcome to anyone who is feeling down or is stressed. It says to the viewer "I know the world is tough, and I'm not trying to be a rich asshole for your entertainment, I just want to have some fun looking at random TV shows from 15 years ago or watching random sectors on the RU-vid platform. Why don't you take your struggles and leave them behind for these next 15 minutes. This is why I subscribed to your channel back when you had around 90k. Keep pushing forward struggler
I'm definitely a Struggler and proud to be part of the movement. I can totally relate to your position. Thanks for making this video. You're a true gem on this platform Scott~!
Eric.... I totally agree, your probably not gonna see this, (considering I'm a 14 year old boy just watching Scott after school) but I watched Scott's video on you, you're a true man of talent. Get some
I like being called a struggler, it makes me feel like someone is acknowledging my efforts to pursue a happy life. :) Thank you Struggle King, Lord of the Struggle Bugs!
Scott, it concerns me that you didn't mention your degree in advertising in this video. I have a question. Do you think your degree in advertising helped you to grow your channel (with thumbnails/video production/etc.)? Keep up the content struggler
I distinctly remember the first time I found one of your videos, as soon as you said “Hey, strugglers,” I was like, “Oh, ok, this guy gets it.” And I maintain that opinion: you’re one of the most down-to-earth RU-vidrs I follow and I love it
I've always found the "struggler" thing... comforting? Like, it's ok, we're all kind of sturggling in one way or another and Scott Cramer's gonna be here for the next 10-20 minutes to make everything ok for a bit! Makes me feel seen.... Which might be dumb I dunno hahaha
When I first started watching the channel I thought “strugglers” was strange to call your followers but then I got acquainted with it at the beginning of every video and felt that feeling of “hey I’m not alone, we all struggle(:”
The Struggler is the everyman. The proletariat. We recognize each other's struggles as a display of personal strength and tenacity in a brutal world. We lift each other up. We face incredible challenges and despite everything, we laugh.
Guys this is the 80/20% thing. 80% of subscribers and viewers either like being called strugglers or don’t care about it. 20% or less are being a vocal minority and rocking the “struggle boat.” Scott Cramer keep struggling bro. Keep struggling together everybody.
No way dude. Why would he reference that terrible channel. And be their particular definition of a negative connotation of a struggler. Of course it's just a friendly reminder that we are all in this struggle together :) cuz the world is tough but if you are struggling it means you are trying and that is part of the road to success
This video made me realise people take RU-vid way too seriously. What happened to the days when we’d just watch silly videos and laugh at the jokes and have silly debates now it feels like if you say something even incorrect the comments are just personally offended by that mistake like RU-vid wasn’t all about regular people uploading
I love strugglers! Especially “struggle bugs”. It is sort of like someone called out people who say they’re “hustlers” and were like, “nah, we’re struggling”.
Ajskells I love extra greetings. See what happens when you subscribe? You get an extra greeting every video- A citizen of Kurtistown, a little struggler, a guy, a Greg, and I LOVE Big T.
I got chills seeing that struggle video again. Hard to believe it was 2 years ago. I remember giving you some shitty advise, but I’m glad we-well, you-can look back and be proud. I get it, the struggle continues but you’ve come so far and your content gets even better with every video. Proud of you, man. (I sound like a dad but I’m more of a proud cousin lol)
I'm a struggle bus myself and I love your videos. You're doing a great job and don't feel like you need to justify yourself! People will always be assholes. Also if people don't understand why you need sponsors, probably not worth explaining it to them lol. Stay healthy!!!!
including and discussing analytics is actually so interesting... not a lot of youtubers are willing to admit this platform rlly is a business. nice video 👍🏽
I always felt like you calling us strugglers put us on the same level as you. Like you don't consider yourself higher than your fan base and were all struggling to get through life together. You're one of the youtubers that is super easy to relate to and just seem like someone that I would be friends with and hangout with. That's why I started watching your videos years ago and have been a struggler ever since!
I remember subbing after watching your Dear Rhett & Link video. Crazy how much you’ve grown, and it’s much deserved. Congrats on how far you’ve come and hopefully there’s a lot more in store
I loved the term and its my favorite greeting, I wish I could use it on a daily basis but it would be socially weird. 'struggling' is something that transcends international borders and culture and everything. for me it resonates deeply and makes me feel a connection. I LOVE IT
I literally told someone to let me be fun last night. You're on the ball my guy. I'd also like to say I blush like a dork through my melanin when you call us struggle bugs omg ^_^
Dude when I found your channel, what immediately hooked me was "Sup, strugglers." Im 24 and yo.. this shit is crazy out here! lol Just remember, the more you grow the more people, especially new viewers, will hyper-criticize and try to feel special by bring your down. Those are haters, not strugglers. Keep up the content man!! You're doing good work out here on Struggle Bug Lane!!
I've always taken the strugglers thing to mean how everyone struggles with something in life and how no one is living an easy and perfect life, but like in a positive way how you are acknowledging this often looked over thing about life and pointing out that we are all together in this and that none of us should feel alone or ashamed for struggling.
Started watching your videos only a few months ago and the first video started with "whats up strugglers" and I immediately knew you understood me lmfao. Especially in the Age of the Great Quarantine
Us Brits don’t have someone to bleep out swear words on all of live TV. It’s something that was gotten American guests on UK daytime talk shows almost in trouble (or close to it) not knowing that there wasn’t someone on hand to censor what they’re saying cause it’s 100% live.
Luckily I found that video of the origin of struggler before asking in the comments like a dummy. Also, what's your average CTR? I'm still ironing out the kinks of my channel and now that I know that you can change the title/thumbnail after the fact, I'll do that more if a video underperforms. Thanks for the tip.
I can honestly say I feel more like a "struggler" far more than any other RU-vid gang I rep. It's always been my favorite and I don't even think I questioned it the first time I heard it, I think I just said to myself, "oh shit, I'm home."
I can’t believe that dude was really upset about being called a struggler. It’s not that deep buddy. Plus I love it I think it’s one of the best names for a RU-vid channel to call their fans.
I didn’t know the origin of the strugglers name, but I understood that we as a people are usually if not always struggling with something in some way and instantly connected with it. It’s not rocket science.
I'm new as heck to both channels, and I did not know the deep seeded joke behind the strugglers thing. But man, it's so endearing. It doesn't seem malicious or as like he's talking down upon us (the strugglers), like man. It's nice. Thanks for calling me out as a struggler but telling me it's okay to struggle. This isn't meant to be sarcastic or condescending in anyway shape or form, but if it is, to anyone reading this, please don't misinterpret this... DX
Yoooo, I ben watchin ever since the Rhett and Link soda video. You've grown and become better at this since then. I just now found out about this channel. How does that happen? Point of this? Have you always had them crazy @$$ blue eyes? I've never noticed till now... That's why you succeed, haha Yeah, your content is pretty amazing, but forget all that... Look at them eyes!
