Three weeks finally off my BP meds and 17 pounds down. Finally 100% carnivore. Took me 3 yrs to get in the groove. I intermittent fast and I have more energy. I only eat between noon and five o’clock and usually one meal a day. Since quitting carbs, I don’t crave junk. Once I eat meat I’m satisfied. I also use egg white wraps for lunch egg burritos with hamburger meat with Redmonds taco seasoning and a TBSP of sour cream. Very filling. We also eat steak, pork belly and many meats. No sugar whatsoever. It’s cheaper bc you aren’t buying sodas, bread and ice cream and chips and cookies etc…etc…etc
I'll be 70 in November. I know carnivore works because I've tried it before. Now, I'm determined to stick with it. Listening to Laura to get really motivated. Day 1 today.
I am gratefully for you saying "we couldn't buy the kids food bcuz we would eat it" I stuggle.feeling guilty that I cannot handle having my kids and hubby's food around. I appreciate your honesty and incredible wealth of info and knowledge. Thank you!❤
Was lucky enough to catch this last night (WOOHOO) and I wanted to give a suggestion to the gal who asked about breakfast. There was a conversation around Equip protein powder but I have found that to be too pricy for my budget. What I do is make a decaf coffee drink (instant decaf and stevia in a pint of cold water for summer, hot for winter) and then to that I add a scoop of unflavored collagen powder and three raw eggs, which I blitz with an immersion blender. Works for me and is carnivore protein source. 38 mg per drink. This is my answer to morning smoothie. YOU ARE FABULOUS LAURA. THANK YOU!
The statement you made on Dr Berry’s interview was gold! ‘Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good.’ I have a terrible (in my mind) mindset of my diet (or whatever I’m doing) has to be perfect or it’s a complete failure. That statement is going to be so encouraging going forward. Appreciate you!!
I'm 64 and started keto a few years ago and increased my meat consumption. I feel great. I'd love to start carnivore but I have an orchard in my backyard full of fruit!! The temptation is too much!! 😂😂😂
I actually started carnivore on September 23d to give myself exactly 3 months to lose some weight (I have about 15 pounds to lose total, so nothing too scary) and to be able to enjoy Christmas food without any guilt. It's actually super easy to stick to with this mindset of "I can do anything for just 3 months!". And it's not my first time on keto/carnivore either. It's going great so far, I lost almost 7 pounds already. But Laura, I want you to know that you made this diet so much easier and enjoyable for me! The rule of having two different things on a plate and a "carnivore salad" were game changers for me, thank you!
I’m new and this is the first time I caught your live. Thanks for answering all the questions. It was super helpful and very informative. I’ll be joining the local community!❤
I am glad that Carnivore worked for you. I followed the carnivore diet for a year and did not loose an ounce. I am so insulin resistant that the only way for me was the Sardine diet
I legit did not see that little tear on the packets until I just bought my 2nd order. Oops. Also I got free packets of the winter medley in the mail yesterday, excited to try some new flavors. I need a chocolate caramel to see if it's any good though.
Doc says not to fast because my adrenals are messed up and my cortisol is the highest she has seen! So I am eating 3xday. Not much weight loss happening. Almost 4 months very strict not even cheese!
I started the carnivore diet 3 weeks ago lost 7 pounds and it looks like I stop loosing the weight even by eating less than before and following strictly the diet. I am starting to feel frustrated. What would be the reason? Thanks!
It’s a nutrient dense diet, you are healing. Feeding every part of your body that’s needs nutrition. People usually builds muscle on this process as well.
Some helpful info I got from another video…its not considered a weight loss stale until 8 weeks have passed without losing weight. Your body is healing…
@@bmarvincortis1 thank you! I did a test after I had one, and did not increase my blood sugar. I am also losing weight, ( I am on the carnivore diet for about 2 years now), so I’m not going to worry about it. Thank you for your response.
I choose to be carnivore and have been, for some time, due to marching, sleeping on the cold ground, and all the other perks the military provides. I never had weight to lose and barely hang on to military low-end weight requirements. However, that is my choice for me. I will never force it on my young children or keep them out of school, which they both love, because I'm afraid they will eat a carrot stick, apple or a cupcake on their classmate's birthdays. They are Pre K and first grade. School teaches children not only education but also social skills, loyalty, helping others, and navigating friendship and problem solving skills. Forcing children to be home schooled because of dietary restrictions is just a bit much. I think this community is edging towards the same obsessive thought patterns as the fat acceptance community....only in the opposite direction. Jmho
First, I am a full grown up 73 year old woman. Last January I started carnivore. Very dedicated for a few months. Started at 166 went down immediately to 144. So happy. BUT, I am a sugar holic. I started adding back sweet things like sweetened tea I would water down. Cookies and bread. I am a sandwich eater from young child. I havent really gained back alot i am now 150. I KNOW I AM SUPPOSED TO CONTROLL MYSELF, BUT HONESTLY CANT GET RID OF SOME SWEETS. Tried eating butter, didnt help. Got rid of all sweets, again but bought back. Can anyone give me concrete ideas that helped them. I know this is for my health etc i know all of this but totally addicted
It's 140 grams of protein. That's for her. Your protein needs will be different. Generally, go by 1 gram of protein by 1cm in height. Check out Anthony Phaesse of TheLeanSeaven, or Craig & Maria Emmerich on the subject. 🙂
