I never realized how much women were shamed for having none or “only” one child until I hit my late 20’s early 30’s. I dealt with the when are you having kids for a while, then my husband and I had our son and 8 years later we still get, almost judged, because we are one and done (because I was a high risk pregnancy & it caused complications) and once they hear we both have siblings we get judged even harder. Don’t ever feel badly for wanting to have an only child or no children at all.

Andrea, I lost my dog, my best friend, last month. I wish that our culture was more sensitive to the loss of pets. I retired very early due to health issues, so we were together 24/7, and she was so aware of my medical challenges. We are empty nesters, so I can honestly say I have been very lonely without her. So I DO understand being emotional about losing a pet!

I was impressed (yet, I should not be, being a regular viewer of your content), how you answered in a neutral and kind manner (as always) all sort of questions. I thank you for your openness and honesty regarding society’s shaming women about their maternal status. I also greatly appreciate how careful you were when talking about “a person with an uterus” without immediately slapping a gender label. You taught me today how to be gracious, sensitive, kind and still remain lighthearted and joyful. I wish you and your family all the best in your new chapter.

I'm the youngest of 6, so I thought I'd want a bunch of kids. Now after having one, we honestly feel complete. We could change our minds down the line, but there's SO much more to parenting that you can never understand until you're in it.

I am sorry for your loss of Cocoa. In 2019 one of my 2 year old cats passed unexpectedly, 2 days later I had to say good bye to my 14 year old Pomeranian who had been with me since she was 2 months old. I still cry over them. In January of this year, I had to say good bye to my 16 year old cat after she quickly became ill/was diagnosed terminal. Thank you for sharing that it's okay to cry about your furbabies.

I’m happy that you are open to talking about fertility. We went through five years of trying different methods to get pregnant. They found some problems, but no definitive answer. Thank you for stating reproductive issues with the corresponding organ instead of by gender. I love to see that. ❤️

Love these kind of videos. As an only child myself the decision about whether to have a second child was so hard but we have just had our second child in January with a 5 and a half year gap and I love it.

Your story is so similar to mine. Married young, waited several years to have kids, dated for 4 yrs, adopted kids, doggie lover. We also always wanted to adopt. Ended up having a biological and adopting twice through foster care. Being a mom is amazing but adoption does have its challenges. Feel free to reach out with any questions regarding adoption. I adopted one from birth and the other at 9 years old.

my hubby has low count and i had a child from former relationship but less i say about him the better, but my hubby is amazing father to our now teenager, and family is complete and perfect how it is. sometimes world gives us what we need but not always in the way we want it to

I’m a Southern California native and its just not the same SoCal I used to love and know. Yes. the weather is amazing but there are extreme prices to pay for that! You literally have to make 3 times the amount of money just to make ends meet. This is the first time in my life that I’ve considered moving out of state!! With the drought, crime, and homeless situations our state has become unrecognizable!!! Just know that weather isn not the be all, end all decision maker that trumps all your choices. I’m trying to get my hubs to look at other options. Congratulations on your new beautiful home❣️🥰👍🏼 At the end of the day, family is EVERYTHING❣️❣️❣️

Thank you for sharing about male factor infertility. For a long time doctors assumed my daughter had infertility problems. She does have PCOS but she has been pregnant multiple times and miscarried each time. They recently found out that he has a genetic disease that has made it impossible for them to have a baby. They are now in the process of adopting also.

I absolutely adore you and have since the start when I first began watching and you mentioned you have pugs. As a pug lover and a past rescuer I absolutely love you even more. Coco was very blessed to have you guys and as much as it hurts and is SO unfair they have such short lives they've certainly enriched our lives so much I can't ever see being without a couple. My heart pug is Sophie, she's 10 and absolutely IS the boss of me lol

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one still crying over my dogs passing. I rescued my first dog 14 years ago and my second dog 10 years ago and having a lot of health issues, I spent almost all that time with them. They were 4 years apart so we thought we’d have more time between their deaths but my oldest dog died in June and my second dog died on Thanksgiving day and that one was completely unexpected because he was laying like normal all day. I still will be doing something and tears will stream down my face because I miss them so much. I’ve grown closer to a friend of mine. She could totally disregard my situation because she lost her 8 year old son after a really long battle and I would’ve totally understood, but she calls me to ask me about my dogs and we talk about how bad this all sucks. A couple of years ago we did rescue puppies. They were separated from my older dogs until they could be respectful. They learned very quickly to be so gentle with my oldest 8 lb senile dog so those 3 spent time together earlier but then my second oldest finally gave in and absolutely loved playing with them. The puppies (now 2.5 yrs old) brought so much life back to my older dogs and my older dogs taught my puppies so much. Sorry for the ramble. Sometimes it helps to just get it out because it makes me less emotional even if no one reads it

A-freakin-men to the shaming of childless individuals! Luckily I set the ground rules for my family so they know I'm not having kids. And after hearing my partners friends talk about how they were pressured into having kids because their wives were pressured, it's just ridiculous. It's not for everyone. It's OK that it's not for everyone. Love hearing you talk so openly and hearing more about you!

It's definitely easier to have just 1 kid! I had my 2nd child (while I was on birth control!) 7 years after my 1st and it is a little more difficult than if you were to have them closer together. My 15-year old doesn't always want to hang out with his 7-year old brother! If y'all do decide to have another, I recommend doing it closer together because they can entertain each other. Or find a friend in the neighborhood that he can hang out with. He will drive you bonkers if not!

Being a mom is the best thing I've ever done, but some people just aren't cut out for kids and it's best if they realize that before becoming parents. My kids are 22 and 20 and I'm trying to get custody of my nieces three kids that CPS removed from her care in December. They are a girl that is almost 2, and a set of 4 month old twins, one boy and one girl. She also just told me she's pregnant again, so I will be getting this one from the hospital after she has it.

Can we have a tour of the new house whatever you are comfortable sharing do the pugs like their new home lol love your channel take care
