I shared my story and answered these questions to shed light on the reality of my life. Sometimes, IG can look so amazing, but reality is there is struggle that you all cannot see. But what made me make the decision, what pushed me over the edge (as some questions were phrased) was understanding the influence/impact a toxic and unhappy marriage would have on my son and having my son model himself from the behaviors of my ex. I couldn't let that happen. Part of the problem is, Muslim women are told to get married young so we aren't equipped with understanding ourselves but also understanding what to look for in a healthy relationship and looking out for red flags. The other problem is some men expect their wives to be a certain way, as if we still live in a patriarchal society.
There is no such thing as a compatible couple lol people theses days divorce over petty crap due to high unrealistic expectations. All couples disagree about the same things: money, sex, kids, time… it’s really about how you manage your differences end of the day.
A woman has a right in islam to live with her husband and kids in a another home away from her in-laws.. I totally agree if u can stay with ur in laws do it if not not a biggy u can live apart I personally find in cases that when couple lives away from in laws there no fights and more love between one another then living in 1 home stuck together ...😊...anyways great video sis ...keep it up and stay connected ✌✌✌...

I get you. I’m like this too. It’s very hard being a Muslim girls and feeling like this. I value a guy being on his deen and being religious and good person etc but I also end up falling for “bad boys” I get physically attracted to them but they’re not really reliable or husband material etc. There are many good guys out there to marry but I’m not interested. I’m into toxic and bad ahahaha.

something to keep in mind before marrying out of culture is to learn their culture and be around people from that culture and ask them questions because going in blindly with culture barriers is difficult and knowing a but on what youre getting into is important!
no doubt, going in blindly is a recipe for disaster! Its crucial to take a step forward, try to be part of the culture over time you'll adjust if you see yourself as accepting to that culture. it can be very confusing, but can be done if you take the right measures!

I have the feeling that having a list of questions is something good when meeting a person but it is a work that should be done on both side. The other person should also come with a list of question. We can choose the right person for us but not be the right person for the other one. It’s my biggest fear.

regarding marriage between Shia Sunni part of the video, I'd say that being attached to your roots is something against Islam, cause your roots might be wrong. I am sure you know that at the time of the prophet this was an issue for many people, they didn't want to change their roots ("traditions" at that time, cause there was no Shia Sunni separation back then). according to Islam, one should always be open to investigation, learning, and eventually changing if necessary not only in marriage but in general as well. otherwise, we all will dictate to what we believe in.
All of us muslims need to be constantly investigating our deen to make sure we are on the right path, sunni and shia muslims alike. However, when it comes to selecting a partner, the marriage process is not when you should be investigating. Marriage is hard enough, we do not need to add any more incompatibility, and that includes on the level of religious beliefs. Also, being a shia muslim is not about ethnicity or tribe, it represents a set of beliefs, some of whom greatly differ from those held in sunni islam. And that is okay. Shia and sunni can have some largely different beliefs without disrespecting each other). Of course, some people are able to deal with partners having differing beliefs, but most aren't and don't want to go into marriage already with the expectation of conflicts. I don't know where from you got the idea that selecting a partner based on compatibility goes in any way against Islam. Islam actually encourages us to choose a partner who shares the most similarities with us. If you want to investigate further, you could check a book about the reflections of Imam Zayn Al Abideen a.s. (Imam al-Sajjad a.s.). May Allah guide us all.

Why would you be tighted to your roots instead of being open minded. If you look closely you know deep in your heart there were no Shea'as in our beloved prophet Mohammed's lifetime. I am sorry to say that but today muslim women are body dysmorphic, sexualized and showing off on social media..worshiping themselves, presenting their beauty, promoting feminism (in a sense) and trying so hard to get followers, begging for attention. That is one of the most important reasons why families break apart. Men are also responsible of this devastation but I belive women are broken the most when it comes to fitrah. And here you are, promoting your position whereas you should promote your business and tell muslim women where you failed to be a good wife - twice.

You're a smart woman, who believes in authencity please check out the authenticity of Shia beliefs to Islam. Isn't that a priority for you religion? Shiites prostate to saints in ziyarats, why would you do that to anyone any being other than the one who Cretaed you and who is your Nourisher. This is undoubtedly a form of Shirk. The Christians were carried away and led astray because of such worshipping of Jesus, a human and noble messenger of Allah. I would plead you to mend your ways when you come across the truth and get closer to Allah and keep asking for guidance. Allah SWT has undoubtedly blessed you in so many ways. Please be thankful to him the right way. Try getting closer to him.

You’ll gain a lot of insight about what characteristics “good women” have. It’s better to have been divorced twice than to have not been married and broken up with two boyfriends (zina). This is also why many people in relationships these days end up not marrying for a long time because they are afraid of the divorce label if things don’t work out. Please don’t vilify the rights given to a woman in Islam. Please don’t vilify being divorced twice because it can teach people that it is better to stay in zina rather than have people judge you for being divorced.
