The eggs we eat typically aren't fertilized so I think we can logically ask the question, "were they alive in the first place?" "If we left them alone and did not cook them would they become chickens?" And the answer is no. Just like in humans, we only consider that something has died if it has been fertilized.

Is an egg an animal or beast? If it is unfertilized, it is more similar to milk or honey than it is to an animal. ?

In the past, an egg from a chicken contained a microscopic embryo. ‘Modern’ commercial eggs are not embryos but generated by causing the female chicken to form the eggs without fertilization. They do not contain a viable embryo. I am not sure if the chromosome content of the cells in the egg are half or a duplication of half of the chromosomes in an unfertilized egg but regardless, it doesn’t result in a fetus. I am interested in your thoughts about how this may change things. Also, where does meet derived from beef stem cells fit in??

Eggs from the store are not fertilized, so it wasn't actually alive to begin with, and therefore didn't die. Just my 2 cents

Turtle dove breeders come to mind. If all women of child bearing years sacrifice 2 turtle doves or pigeons every month and there are millions of Hebrew women then where do all these birds come from? 🤯. And that’s just one of the sacrificial commandments.

Ya'll make this stuff so complicated like with the egg it unfertilized It's not even alive. also with the kissing thing just quote one text and you will get your answer. with the Hanukkah thing the Jewish sages are different form the priests and judges. the sages are the rabbi's and the priests and judges are the priests and judges, there different.
