Amazon has beautiful bread bags with windows. I gift mine using these bags and my friends feel very special. Say love with sourdough ❤. Also LOVE your videos, you have a great style of teaching.
I buy my bread flour and all-purpose flour in 10lb bags. The bags are perfect for batard shaped breads. Plastic medicine bottles are a good way to transport starter. They seal well and being made of grade 5 plastic will not break. Fun talk, thanks!
NASA tshirt- how appropriate as I’m baking some non-flying saucers right now! 😂 Had to start from scratch with a 3 week old starter that just isn’t taking. Added rye flour today at your suggestion! Baking anyway- always tasty. Thank you Grant! I also use bulk brown gift bags from Amazon w handles for gifting the bread.
Storage. What works for me is slicing it then putting the slices on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Then freeze. Then I place the frozen slices in a plastic freezer bag and store in the freezer. Fresh slices for weeks.
Lesibag Bread Loaf Packing Bags - Printed Bread Bags for Homemade Bread or Bakery - Reusable Bag for Large Loaves - 8" x 4" x 18" (50) I live in west central AZ and use these for home and gifting, they are attractive and can be reused. I purchased on Amazon, they have worked very well. Thank you for your recipies and videos, it is the best sourdough I have every made.
Thanks for the Q and A. After slicing my completely cooled sourdough loaf I wrap in heavy duty aluminum foil… it stays fresh and preserves the crunch perfectly….also gift bread that way !
Love the Q & A! I tried your sheet pan pizza dough and made the mistake of using a pan with no sides… 😅 went everywhere, lol. Where at in AZ do you live? We’re neighbors! Welcome 😊
I vacuum pack my my sourdough when you deliver it or next day or ship it doesn’t it doesn’t squash the loaf there’s different settings on machines perfect
I thought that einkorn contained more gluten than rye since it’s a type of wheat. I could be wrong but I would look into that if you truly need to avoid gluten.
