I would think right now it's more a question of the amount of drones in the air, get enough of them and you could mimic a typical screen with some degree of success.
Next to some drone shows I have seen on RU-vid this was boring! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vLXqM1KsS6s.html&ab_channel=Paramount%2BAustralia
Imagine the day we get pure or at least really great holograms? The crazy and insane CGIs we'll get to see! How exciting~! I for one am looking forward to seeing Final Fantasy boss/summon fights brought to holograms. 😙👍
Remember that technology they use to let an digital idol perform on stage? Imagine if they used that on the entire ground to make a 3D army from the scene...also maybe the mist projection system for Bahamut in full glory...
We already do! Look up "flying dragon in the sky 1500 drones", and you'll find clips of another recent show that had some _incredibly_ impressive animations!
As a Legacy player who witnessed Dalamud fall, and who helped form The Great Goobbue Wall of Ul'dah...this gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears. I have played many MMOs over the years, but this one....this one is my absolute favorite. I will NEVER get tired of this game! The storyline, the emotions, the vibrancy of the worlds...truly awe-inspiring and spectacular! Happy 10th Anniversary! Here's hoping for at least another 10 years! 🥰🥳 🌟☄🌠
We who started post The Fall, raise a glass to you and the Goobbue Wall. Had you and your fellow 1.0 heroes not been there they might have never had to power to let the game rise from the ashes.
Ive Only been playing XIV for about a year and just finished EW. Learning about the history of XIV with 1.0, and all the stories leading up to 2.0, its been an incredible learning experience. And the Great Goobbue Wall is one of the best. The Sightseeing Log that shows a solitary Goobbue In Thanalan nearly makes me cry everytime I see him, lol.
@@El_Legante The Wandering Minstrel gave us a exclusive Goobbue mount before the fall of Dalamud. All of the players with the mount formed a wall of Goobbues around Ul'dah, to protect the city and its citizens from The Calamity.
as a legacy player, this brought me to tears seeing it like this. Especially since the story of EW came to a close, "Answers" has a new view perspective when I hear it. Seeing as the lyrics fits everything that we have learned about over the last 13 years.
this looks wild, wish i was there to see it. as a legacy player myself; i can't wait until i take the plunge back into Eorzea and start my EndWalker journey. I've heard so many great things! just gotta finish a few single players first. not quite ready to get lost in an MMO again just yet lol.
Legacy player also, I'm so bitter at myself for having not been there for the end days of 1.0. Truly an invaluable experience I wish I had the pleasure of being a part of. But alas, I only get to listen to the stories of others who were and that will have to suffice.
Another 1.0 player here... I know that when Answers was written, a lot of the Ascian story wasn't fleshed out and so the words didn't necessarily have the meaning they do now... but Ishikawa did a heartbreakingly good job of making the ending of more than a decade of story fit the words so perfectly. I've always found Answers the most complex of the "Hydaelyn" songs (both lyrically and melodically), but it hits a lot harder post-EW. Especially certain lines. (And by "Hydaelyn songs" I mean the song each expansion that is sung sort of from Hydaelyn's viewpoint. Answers, Dragonsong, Revolutions, Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and Flow. I don't know of a better term to distinguish them from Shadowbringers, Footfalls, etc.) That said, I still think that while "Flow" is not remotely my favorite of the Hydaelyn songs, there are aspects to it that break my heart more than any other... even Answers.
I don't know much about these type of shows, but probably that would've been too much of a rapid animation for a drone show to handle from the look of it. Would've been dope if it was possible tho
@@corey123897still the 3d path they would need to make would be difficult. Ask about it again in the 20th anniversary qhen the technology has improved :)
It's hard to explain to other MMO players the emotions tied up in this story- and to have experienced it live... from the first time I heard Answers playing through my speakers to seeing her perform it live, it takes me right back there. I can't explain how cool it is to complete a raid encounter, and the immediate thing isn't a rush for loot, but to be completely and totally captivated by the storytelling you just unlocked.
I started playing FFXIV in Stormblood patch 4.3 ( Ask me when you are a man 'little sun' :D ) and one of my friends made me watch the Answers trailer, and explained the significance not just to game lore, but 1.0 as well. I thought it was just a great song, so when it became available to get as an orchestrion roll during one of the tomestone events, i grinded out the required amount to have it play in my apartment, and later in my house. This song 4 years later emotionally destroys me, every single time, especially after Endwalker. I fucking love this song, and this world. Seeing the Final Fantasy logo at the end gave me chills.
I still am not affected by this song, sure it sounds nice but it's just not my thing. I do like the variety of music in ff xiv however & enjoy how much there us to do in this game. I will definitely be paying for the full game & the subscription. Between this & diablo 4, I am going to be very busy for a while, possibly even for the next two years which is fine by me.
1.X Veteran here. Everything the team has done for this 10th Anniversary has basically made me tear up. Here's to many more years of this amazing game, these amazing stories, and this amazing community.
I legit said out loud "I'm so glad to have lived long enough to see this." To hear the Final Fantasy Prelude, or what I call the Crystal theme...and see Hydaelyn at the end in the sky, had me so happy I teared up. Felt like a dream come true.
Answers was brilliant, the transition from The Twelve to the logo was fantastically done, but then the Mothercrystal and the prelude as well... even for those of us who didn't experience the dawn of a new era, that was where we all started.
As a 10 year player just watching this video brought me to tears. I can't imagine what it'd be like to actually be there, i'd be sobbing like a baby the whole show. Thank you for the video.
I’ve been playing FFXIV since 2014 with patch 2.45. I wish I started sooner but I was too shy because I never played mmo’s before. After nearly 9 years playing and still logging on almost daily, this song and everything about it gives me chills. FFXIV and the people I have met there have helped me get through some really hard times, and it still does. I wish there was a way to express my gratitude to the development team but even if I could, I don’t know if I possess the words to express what this incredible experience has done for me. I am so grateful for the time it has been going on and am hoping it continues for much longer
I play since february 2022. Skipped out on the endwalker craze. 😂 But absolutely love the game sofar. In a single year i accumulated over 1000 hours. I havent had a mmo to play for a few years and this game got my crying several times. Now i'm maxed lvl on a couple classes, got a house, doing glamour uploads on eorziacollection and am fiddling with a 3rd party tool for glamour and poses cause i just like to make nice pictures. (No worries the tool does not change anything for other ppl. In fact its completely invissible for others. I tested this with friends. Its JUST for poses and outfits~) 😅
And this? *This* is what Clarke meant when he said that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. We aren't magicians--yet. We have gotten a taste. And it is _glorious._
New Adventurer and recently finished Stormblood. I'm so glad, I've join the FFXIV community. Never been one for Online MMO's. Yet this one managed to hook me in.
My favorite part about being a Legacy player, is the small subtle difference of text quest we get. Its really rewarding to see even to this day, we Legacy players are cared for. Watching this video play when the server shut down, was simply an experience ill never forget, and in someway i still like 1.0 personality it had. This display is simply breathtaking.
;w; This is beautiful. That last bit to the ffxiv meteor logo almost brought me to tears. And before that, gave me goosebumps seeing the god's symbols...epic Thank you for sharing!
I wish I could've seen this display. Watching this brought me to tears. I look forward to attending one hopefully in the near future. - Till Sea Swallows All!
That was pretty damn awesome. Thank you for sharing. I have been off FFXIV for a year or so now but that makes me want to come back. I just wish we had Puppetmaster.
I've been too poor to pay for my sub for a few years but it's looking like I'll be able to finally have spending money again with this new job. I miss Eorzea so much.
