Thankyou for this video. Just in time before I breakout into tears again. I’ve tried so many ineffective things, even those rat bars and pellets that aren’t effective. My son said mom all your doing is feeding them and I realized he was right. I’m making containers today which is dirt cheap and I will place around the outside of my home and the attic.

I live in the country and I’ve had rats to chew up the wiring harness on my vehicle that wasn’t even a year old, the wiring on my central unit, and chewed through the hot water line. I had to pay the $500 insurance deductible on my vehicle to get it fixed and out of pocket for the AC and water line repair. At that point, I didn’t really care how I got rid of them, I just wanted them gone! They had cost me too much money! Thanks for the video! I have shared it with many friends and relatives to help them as well.

@@praful6890 I think his wife and children were introduced in the beginning of this video. I just don't understand why anyone would find it offensive to give a compliment to the opposite gender. The woman who commented above( probably married with her own children) can't give an honest comment without someone thinking negatively or has other intentions accept for making an honest comment which might make him feel great or admired??

Thank you for turning me on to this video, as I'm watching it my camera goes off, and it's a rat. So now I paused your video and start looking for it, I have two cords of stacked firewood, and it's going in and out of it. Then another one comes out and they start chasing each other. Off to the store tmw to buy some corn mix and baking soda, and maybe a pellet gun. Thank you

I thank you so very much for your videos on feeding rats and mice the cornmeal muffin mix mixed with baking soda. We have chickens and chickenfeed attracts rats. Well a few weeks ago I was watching the chickens from our living room window and I saw about 5 or 6 rats playing around in and out of their holes in the ground and in and out of the chicken pen. Well I told my husband that we need to buy rat traps and soon because rodents multiply rapidly and we have more than what I am seeing from the window. My husband has set live traps and have caught around 10 rats. He then lets them go out in the pasture and our son's Jack Russell catches and kills them. Rats are very leery and quite intelligent so catching them with snap traps placed in strategic places around the chicken pen wasn't working too well, only caught one in them. I kept seeing more rats so I tried your muffin and soda mix and added just enough canned milk and sugar to make some corn balls. I placed the balls outside of the chicken pen and watched to see if the little critters would eat them. Sure enough, one of them picked up a corn ball and carried it into it's underground hole. In a couple of days most all of the corn balls were gone. It has been about three days now and I haven't seen any rats ! I do believe your recipe has worked. Thanks again.

I have used the bucket trap a lot. Great for mice. Can needs to spin very easily. Water in the bucket. I will be trying the baking soda trick. Snap traps work if you bait it without setting it. Rats get comfortable eating around and on the trap. Couple of days later rebait the area, set the trap. If you use many traps at once you should put a big dent in your rat population.

I just spent $6000 having a new harness installed in my car. Yes, it's a new vehicle in which the manufacturer used soy-based installation. It's infuriating! Bought all the ingredients and I plan to go to war this weekend. Thank you so much for this valuable and timely information.

My 2017 suburban is in the shop now from rabbits chewing wires which fried the main computer so about $ 3000 later it is war. I have put a dog fence around the cars which keeps out the rabbits, woodchucks and squrrils but still need info on mice. I use the bucket trap in the garage and it works OK I put everything antifreeze in it so it won't freeze up in winter. Will try the baking soda and cornbread and also mint extract.

In Florida, after mice ate the wires in my car, a mechanic told me to put moth balls in a small cloth container and put it into the engine to keep the mice out.

How often should a fresh mixture be put out? Rats found a way into my Garage and set up home out there... lol And from your understanding does a rat have to eat over 2-3 days before it kills it or should it enough in one setting to kill it???

I'm an animal lover, but when it comes to mice and rats, I do whatever you have to to kill them; they can indeed do a lot of damage. In my case a few thousand dollars and my truck never idled right afterwards. Traps work fine for a few mice , but are ineffective for real infestation.

Mice are attracted to grain not sweets. Keep that in mind. Oats, corn, or other grains they run to, chocolate, not so much.

@@roseandra1 I saw a TV show once where a man sat on a log out in the woods with a bright light and a camera and a chocolate bar, and showed a mouse eating the chocolate placed next to him on the log. He said the mouse loved the chocolate so much, it would risk getting under the bright light, next to the man, to eat the candy. I always say everything on TV is fake, but I thought that show was real.

Yes, they are wild destructive creatures! And tear up and chew away even plastic utilities,wiring in car engines, electrical appliances,dig up the garden creating nests for dreaded snakes.

Depends on the size of the colony. In one case it took a month to finally rid them.

My name is Krystal and I just want you to know that I’m at whits end I started staying at my sons home Monday-Friday because I’m taking care of my grandson so I’m not at home all week this is since November 2022 well I have mice and rats now I believe the mice are gone but there is at least 1-2 rats and I live in a mobile home and you can hear them under the trailer just chewing away so when I’m home 2 days I don’t sleep eat nothing I’m constantly crying trying to figure out how to get rid of them and like you I tried every single trap you have tried and not one of them worked for me I spent so much money on traps it makes me sick 🤢 I’m so exhausted not being able to relax or sleep in my own home so finding your video is a life saver for me I don’t know if you realize just how grateful I am to have found you but yeah they are the cat food anything that was on floor or in bottom cabinets so I’m going to start this tonight 🫶🏼🤟🏽 thank you Jerry
