As a terminal lake, the lakebed is full of normally rare minerals that are highly concentrated here. Such as arsenic and lead. When the winds blow from wendover they kick up that dust and make these horrible duststorms about once a month where you cant see across the street. Knowing their made of toxins......thats bad. Also, huge companies on the shore of the lake bring in 4 billion usd a year from the harvest of brine shrimp and minerals. Both of which need water and are in danger. The US's largest supply of some of these minerals is this lake, which will be lost if dried up. Furthermore, birds flying from canada to mexico every year stop at this lake as a halfway point. They have nearly totally stopped doing so due to the salinity. Thats to say nothing of the parks/tourism it brings in.
Dear Carl, there will be dust, toxic content under lakebed get exposed, get picked up by the winds and storms, cause pollution to the air which is very unhealthy to those with respiratory illnesses.
Harvest the pink salt and sell it as a natural healthy wonder like they do in other places. That stuff she was digging up could be mixed with water and sold as a "biotic facial masking mud"
And what do you propose we do? Seriously though, how on earth are we to solve that issue with so many people living in Utah now, it would be unwise to use our fresh water to try and fill the Great Salt Lake back up. No mam, NO ONE can help, except Jesus Christ! The end of the times of the gentiles has come in upon us! Woe unto this wicked generation! The Great Salt Lake is receding and the Dead Sea in the old world will return to life. The first shall be last and the last shall be first! Repent and turn with Jesus Christ for great desolations are upon this people in this land! Woe unto this wicked generation!

Thank you sincerely for the wake-up call. I need to repent and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ daily and share His gospel often, and uplift other people around me.
Your right and so we should make no effort in saving it. If God wants it saved he will save it thru divine miracle and if he doesn't want it saved he won't and it's part of the plan we should never think that our world is the cause and effect of our actions it's just god controlling everything if something happened it's cuz God wanted it to ..
