I hurt for the ball ! :D Seriously, I am glad to see this player here. He is not flashy and because of that, overlooked, but he is a solid full-back who can play fly-half, a very good defender and a very humble guy. I found France was playing better with him on the pitch than with Dulin or Jaminet.

Where the ball stops is a bit of a lottery, I'd rather see it measured at where the ball first hits the grass.

but that's the beauty of Rugby, you never know what the ball will do :D In a real play it doesn't matter where the ball lands, only where it goes after :)

@@yooyist It actually does matter where a kicked ball lands, there's the 50/20, there's the kickoff where there are many rules regarding where the ball lands, inside the required 10 meter travel distance for example, out on the full etc There's kicking out on the full outside of your own 22, which hands posession over to your opposition by way of a lineout at the mark in line from where the ball was kicked. There are many rules governing kicking in rugby :D So in many instances, it does matter where the ball lands from a kick:)

It's a skill that has dwindled away over recent years. Frans Steyn is a good shout as I've seen him kick a lot and he creates all the angles to be a threat in a challenge like this. I'm 46 now, so a bit out of touch with kicking rugby balls but when I was young I would have took on anyone but for now will leave it to my boy Fransie.
