I see more Tracy McGrady. If he does this & wins in the playoffs then it’ll be Jordan. But Jordan was never that heavy on the 3 ball & he was much more aggressive on defense.
Ngl Kobe probably has my favorite fade away. But the way edwards fade looks now is quickly starting to be one of my faves. It just looks so smooth like Kobe’s. Clockwork
Im 50 yrs old. Live in Minnesota. I got into the NBA cause of early Jordan in 84. The Wolves didnt even come along till 89!! Ive watched Jordans entire career. Now, watching Edwards every game, he reminds me of Jordan at that age! Nobody else has done that. Hes coming. And those that have closely watched BOTH know it.
"improved" by failing to podium?? That was one of the worst if not THE worst finishes in international competition in USA basketball history! smh You kids have to be utterly and completely brainwashed to view that kind of failure as a success
@shaft9000 The USA put their JV players on their team since the real nba stars (Anthony edwards is a star though nonetheless but you get what I mean) got to rest during that time period. The USA will assemble the avengers in the upcoming years and destroy every team
One of my favorite players to watch. If Edwards continues on his current trajectory and continues to work hard on his game, he's going to be a monster in the NBA. The sky is the limit for this guy. Also, he should participate in the Slam Dunk Contest as well.
His movement is very reminiscent of how Jordan moved on the court. Ant seems to have a little better handles and long range shooting. When it comes to the eye test he is the real deal. Hopefully he can either be built around in Minnesota or moved to a team that can elevate his level of play, especially in the playoffs. Look out for this dude. His time is coming.
I'm a T-Wolves fan for decades so I'm up to date on the team, as this is the best we've been in a long time. I agree with your take on Edwards moving like Jordan. I think a lot of ppl are sleeping on what is happening with Edwards. He's gonna be a legend
Man the spins and the post game. The patience and understanding to know that sometimes waiting for the defense to react when you have the ball is the fastest way to the basket, and easiest to have multiple options to get buckets. Jordan, Kobe, Tmac, they all had that feeling with the ball; at least it appeared it that way.
Yeah we've seen alot of players play their asses off but its all about that consistency where i go like oh they kinda play like Mike and youknow rings, people were saying this about KD but the dude couldn't put that ego down, same with James Harden, Dwayne Wade, all good players but the difference is literally they didnt crap on the competition so bad that you got some of the best players of all time never winning rings because it was a shut out completely .
Great video - I hadn't made the connection, but now I definitely see it. The stylish type of body movement / shape when hanging in the air taking a shot or the way he flows to the hoop. The way he seems to go into slow motion in the air and just hangs - crazy hops. First, MJ moved in this way. Going back and watching MJ highlights recently I was reminded of how all of his movements had that lazy swag/style to them - and he wasn't trying to move that way - it was just natural to him. Then Kobe came along and had a similar style of movement. Now AE has many of the characteristics also. At the end of the day, its only cool if you consistently make shots, dominate games and ultimately, win a championship. Enjoying watching this kid elevate.
This is a gazillion dollar business! They are not living this up to chance, these players DNAs is collected. And redistributed across the country to keep a endless flow of talent in their megacorporation. I mean sport. But I could be completely insane.
Most complete player in the league. How can you guard him. 3pt pointers, strong, 2 way player, good vertical, good mid range. This is a future hall of famer.
All the fans of Basket would like to witness a new MJ, but i think that, unfortunately for us, it will never happen ... There is a lot of good players out there, but MJ was unique, some players could develop a similar type of game, but it will never be the same as MJ did in his area 🤗
LFG! Edwards has got a Jordan-Type flair in his style, no doubt. If he amps up his steals and assists per game, he could be nipping at the heels of MJ’s early years. There’s a bit of Kobe vibe in him too, but then Kobe was the ultimate Jordan mimic, so it all comes full circle. This guy’s got a some room to grow and develop, and it’s exciting to think about what this dude could achieve!
I wouldn’t compare stats because that’s kind of silly. People are just saying his fluidity and motions are jordanesque, not that he puts up the same numbers, and I definitely agree with the majority.
Impressive, love that MJ style of attack good to see Edwards utilize flair back in game, ...An Assassin....Lakers get this guy amd.build a team around him.💯😃
Since covid I haven't watched as much basketball or kept up with it as much as before but I always thought anthony edwards was like 6-8 SF/PF. I didn't know he was 6-4 guard.
Michael Jordan isnt the best "deep shooter." Steve Kerr is a better deep shooter than Jordan. Yet he isnt comparable. Reggie Miller, or Jordan's own teammate John Paxson is a better deep shooter than Jordan. That means nothing.
@@K.R_Official. nah YOU the casual. it's easier to score in today's era with the rules catering to the offense. if Ant not leading the league in scoring, then he not MJ like.
Jordan was Jordan from game 1 in 1984,it took couple games for everyone to realize that Jordan was SPECIAL and the best player in the league, this guy has been in the league for 4 years and there's nothing but a CHEAP PROJECTION,when he retires nobody will remember this guy
