These are the best plays in Anthony Edwards career but they get increasingly more superhuman as the video goes on! Clips are licensed through NBA playmakers Business inquiries: mcosh3@gmail.com
Funny enough, he's actually landing pretty well as it's safer on the knees to not always land on your feet. He's gotta be careful with his hands though. No more dislocations.
6:46 bro, he palmed the back of that guy’s head while flying through the air, then t-bagged him on his way down, while everyone cheered 😂 it’s time to fight
@@harrisonkleinjan This is all he does... REEED, no. Edwards to KAAAAT, nope. RUDYYYYYY with the slam. His inflection and intonations are predictable garbage, he is all rinse and repeat.
The “ants are venomous” line shows his style though. He’s not gonna call the cross over/in n out move that he did to get to that dunk. His play by play announcing for a play by play guy leaves much more to be desired. I thought they made a mistake letting Dave go, but I was wrong. They made a fantastic decision. With any good announcer, It’s all rinse and repeat because that’s what announcing should be. 95% of the time it’s stuff youve seen a thousand times unless you’re new to the game.
@@goskateminnesota7256 You know why they let Benz go? Money. Diamond Sports Group hasn't been doing financially well for a while; bet Grady makes 60% of Benz's salary. I listen to a lot of different announcers, NBA and otherwise, Grady ain't it; at least, not yet. After the Fox Sports North purchase, they took one of the top five announcing pairs in the NBA and broke it up because of monies.
@@IveGotToast Mainly because MJ didn't jump ship to chase rings. He waited for a team to be built around him, then cashed in. I hope AE does the same. Either that or somehow move to my Celtics hahah
He's young, so who knows. He's not even close to Jordan right now though. Jordan was injured when he was 22, but averaged 37 ppg at 23 in a much more defense-oriented league. Compare other stats, and it's obvious that young Jordan was way better than the player Edwards is now, and that's not including intangibles, which Jordan had in spades.
Michael Grady on the call is the best thing to happen to an ANT highlight. They are both gonna go down as legends in their respective crafts thanks to each other.
Kevin Harlan in my estimation is the best play by play announcer currently on the planet. When he calls NFL games he can make a 1 yard rush sound like a 100 yards TD. He was exceptional as the Wolves announcer years ago. But Grady is working hard to take over.
Been a wolves fan (again) since the Love and Rubio days. Finally good to see decisions that pay off. Though im still annoyed they paid so much for Gobert, I think they could have got him cheaper, atleast a pick or 2, but atleast they are thriving with him and he's helped Ant develop so much already. KAT seems like a perfect running mate for Ant too with his space.
@@tightknotsfishing9334 Like you, I go back to the very beginning. We didn't optimize KG when we finally got a stud, then got fleeced when we traded him. We're surrounding ANT with better players, so this will be fun.
ANT gives me so much hope for the newer gegeration to experience what us 80s and 90s kids experienced with Jordan and Kobe. He has the possibility to be the generational talent we had with Kobe and MJ. Us older generation were not throwing shade at the young guys, we were just grew up to different expectations with those 2. ANT shows alot of of promise and hopefully he can achieve those heights.
Aight i got 2 Draymond Green moments but they look increasingly more like his UFC application. Or Jordan Poole moments but there are increasingly more baddies courtside.
Just an incredible talent to watch, I wasn’t much of a fan before he came into the league but his play style is just so exciting and entertaining to watch.
Anthony Edwards serpentine like lay-ups through traffic are pleasing to watch as well. How he doesn’t get many and-ones from those is frustrating because he gets a lot of contact. He isn’t baiting opponents with “unnatural” movements either, the guy just gets hammered going to the rim and refs call nothing.
Edwards has had two highlight dunks where he didn't even touch the rim. That's actually a testament to his athleticism. I remember when Keon Clark was the only one.
@@mind_of_dro He said this but the current dunk competition is garbage. Put Vince Carter and AE in the same gym for 4 hours and with his talent he could learn 7 crazy dunks in that time.
There is crispness in his movements, the sharp turns and stops and at the same time a beastly, inhuman power, which is simply awesome to watch. He is just … different. Darryl Dawkins had the same unnatural strength but he lacked the body control Edwards possesses. How many times we see defenders backing off simply realising „I cannot compete with that“.
@@tomodomo1000 Lebron: More playoff game-winners than everyone else on the list. Most all-nba selections and all-star selections of all-time. Turned Toronto into Lebronto. 2nd most fMVPs of all-time. 4 MVPs in 5 years. Tomodomo: He don't got that dog in him. He ain't over MJ, but come on xD
Man, it's 1984-85 again! I'm digging the growth and domination. Whoever picked him 1st overall is really feeling themselves right now!! We know what organization, but I'm speaking of the individual who looked at the board and said, 'grab him!' It also gives me joy to know that Jordan was mad as hell that he didn't get him! That let's you know how special this kid is!
Watch his first dunk in this video in .25 speed. Also his dunk at 0:45. The ball hits the ground before his feet. I’ve not seen anyone throw it down that hard since Shawn Kemp
The moment I saw Ant poster dunking Yuta Watanabe back in 2021, man I was hooked. Melo was my favorite in their class but I knew back then this kid was gonna be big. May the team reach the finals this playoffs, even though they have Gobert
