Intentional or not still sounds like shit to me. Tones and I intentionally sings Dance Monkey the way she does. Doesn't make it any less awful sounding
After this song I'm hoping Billie keeps mixing rock in with the hip hop, very down for this sound and I think her voice works surprisingly well with it

Also, I see a lot of Exit Music (for a Film) here, in the sense of how it develops dynamicly: soft guitar, then distorted desperate cathartic ending
Am I the only one who thinks Billie has a way more powerful voice and puts on this soft voice because it makes her more unique because I could definitly hear a more powerful voice during the second half of the song
People complain about her too much. Saying this album is terrible and disappointing. Like, are y’all deaf? Anyway this album is mind blowing to say the least with the unique styles from her this time around. I wish oxytocin and I didn’t change my number were singles sooooo bad!

I actually don’t listen to the album much at all bow because it’s really boring to me and lacks substance. The debut holds more weight because there’s no filler tracks. Not saying there are terrible songs. But for like a few tracks, the production doesn’t do anything special. I wish the album was more experimental with the sound. I need more NDA and Oxytocin songs for a new album because the rest of it doesn’t have staying power for me.
@@flinthuxleythefox youre good I was a little overhyped when it came out too honestly. It is just kinda... Boring? I attributed that to her making more soft and chill songs but then I remembered how much I loved "listen before I go" and "I love you" on her last album and that theory didn't really hold up. Still love her but maybe she should work with her brother more again because I guess someone else produced this one.
@@seikoshinohara3084 I think the production was what felt different for me. Like the simplicity of the first album with xanny and I love you, that was done perfectly. How the instrumental builds in the background with her voice, and I think that’s why I liked it so much. And plus I miss the darker music. Even though she shouldn’t just make dark stuff forever and never evolve, that’s what got me hyped for her. However, NDA is my favorite song she’s released and the feeling of the song is very eerie and strange. That uneasy feeling that’s missing from the album that made the debut so creepy. I’m just a sucker for scary stuff, and light stuff when it’s in enjoyable facets.

@@TheClever69 Well the drums and the bass are def. waveshaped progressively harder and harder which essentially is clipping. Distortion is nothing else then making a waveform more square in different ways and forms. Clipping is just the maxed out form of that. Not saying thats bad i love that track
Seen as a large majority think this is the best track on the album, I do feel like a rock revival is on the horizon. Olivia Rodrigo and MGK kicked it all off, now people are craving that sound more and more.

This song is just easy and then gets even more catchy in the second half with the more aggressive vocals and alt-rock sound. Makes sense it’s probably the most liked songs on the album

I still can't tell if I like how crunchy she made the mix at the end. Like, it's super real and I think it brings out the emotions more. I get that it's supposed to harken back to you screaming out lyrics to your favourite song in frustration, but it does make it kind of difficult to listen to what's otherwise my favourite song she's ever made.

"the mix is clipping" what that means?
He isn’t always right but he’s very consistent he always posts and reviews and he knows what he’s talking about. He has tons of experience so his opinion is highly regarded. If he likes something it’s usually at least worth a listen cause he knows his shit and then if u don’t like it so be it.
@@msid9870 I don't like oxytocin tbh. The beat felt stale quickly and billie's vocals were messy, certain parts of the song sounded really off. My favorites are the last 2 songs, happier than ever & male fantasy.
@@MaruSurfs Yeah kinda agreem would sound nicer in live concert though. One problem I had also with this album was there was just too much mumbling which sometimes I couldn't understand (for e.g. NDA)

Happier than ever and my future are almost the same song. And tbh i think theyre the only good songs on the album. Still looking forward to her next album though. She experimented a lot which was cool. All the songs sound different from each other. I just think she made too many songs too quickly and they weren't as good.
