“Your extension cord doesn’t reach that far.” 💔😭 Such a simple, innocent, and almost child-like phrase that encapsulates so much.. this song just bears much more weight with more age.
Anthony Green has truly been a treat all these years. His vocals are truly so unique. Everytime I hear him, I'm brought back to middle school in the best most nostalgic bittersweet way
I’ve been listening to circa survive for a few years now. Never even knew this existed. Just found Anthony green and I feel stupid for it taking me this long lmao.
Wow@ Erika, Eduardo, Eddie, and Cameron, … glad you people found out Anthony and circa existed… obviously you guys know circa survive but you should look into SAOSIN and THE SOUND OF ANIMALS FIGHTING. I’m 32 and he is one of the artists that absolutely defined my youth in highschool . (Class of 2006)
I've been struggling so much lately and this hits home. He's crying for help and knowing his struggles over the years, I'm glad hes still here. Anthony you're loved.
Anthony is so down to Earth. I've met him, and he's not like hiding in his tour bus all the time, he talked to everybody there, that's the kind of people you don't see very much of anymore. and his music is killer
Met him before his Saosin show a few months ago, he was just smoking a ciggarete outside a random store all by himself. We spoke for 15 mins. Down to earth legit dude.
Katy M it's good and he makes good. Music. But i just don't want to listen to a guy wit a very high pitch voice... I'm more trying to. Find a person who sounds a bit like Casey from the dear hunter. And Manchester orchestra is pretty much it
This guy's voice, man... Especially toward the ending choruses. So much behind it. Those last two choruses come out like the water when you cover the hose with your thumb. So much pressure behind and it just comes shooting out. Fantastic emotion, he sells out.
I've been searching for this for years. My sister put it on my ipod when I was in like 7th grade but it didn't have the right title or artist because limewire. Holy shit
I met this dude years ago and his voice is just as good in person. Giving him a hug was in the top 3 best moments of my life and I tell that story every chance I get lol.
Would you guys think its funny if I put on an Abercrombie shirt, cologne, and sunglasses, then went to see Anthony play this live just so I could should "SEVEN YEARS!"?
I love this song. I first heard of Anthony & Circa Survive in middle school. I'm now 20 years old and STILL love them. Haha. One of the few artists I've always liked.
His voice is just amazing. It really does brighten my day to play his music. Fantastic job, Anthony. And oh god, when I saw him on the cover of AP I seriously died for a few seconds. I was so happy that they were doing a story on him and everything. Oh, and the Craig Owens stuff was cool too.
I just started listening to him because of a suggestion from a friend. and i've come to accept that Anthony Green is a lyrical genius and his voice is amazing. I fell in love with his voice whenever I heard it. :)
I can't believe I haven't listened to this incredible band in ages. An old friend of mine who passed away a couple of days is love with with Anthony Green. It makes me so sad to listen. I really just can't stop.
I used to shoot heroin and just lay there listening to this song over and over. it was a happier time in my life. I had the girl of my dreams and my family still. Everything has fallen apart since then, but I guess it had too in order for new things to fall into place. this song takes me back to those good old days tho.
You are not bereft... Just need to start dreaming again brother. Life has more potential when you're not hiding.. It may seem like a happier time, but it was a time when you were not independent. May your strength find you some happier days, mate. It's not healthy to romanticize drug use... What you felt as happiness was the harm being done, yeah?
T-Mac ThaVillainousDemon I'll have to add this to the list. Last time I listened to all of Blue Sky Noise, then ended up listening to 3 hours of Norma Jean somehow. To say it was awesome, is an understatement.
I've listened to Anthony Green and Circa Survive/Saosin for so many years, yet this is the first time I've listened to this song. And by golly I think I jizzed my pants.
this is just something he put together because he's been writing songs for over ten years. circa is due to come out with a new cd late next year. i'm pretty stoked
Dear child, they're asking us to move I watched her taking off her shoe (Let the shore tide take you in, let the shore tide in) Unweary, I'm not quite rusty yet This could be obvious to you (Let the shore tide take you in, let the shore tide in) In this short time we've been setting up I've been trying to reach you But my extension cord wouldn't reach that far (Reach that far) I've been patiently waiting The indicator light is flashing on (Flashing on) Dear sleeper, you could've had the better bed I loved to watch the way you grew We're out, we're out the door We're out, we're out the door In this short time we've been setting up I've been trying to reach you But your extension cord doesn't reach that far (Doesn't reach that far) (Reach that far) I've been…
@alexafoshiz Anthony Green was the vocalist in the original lineup for Saosin. He was with them from the time they formed in 2003 until sometime in 2004.
