@@jamesmalcolm6976 I know that what he said is true about Jimmy & the ones he did kill were ones that didn't do what they were supposed to like Stacks. However what Jimmy didn't know was that 2 guys during the robbery removed their masks and a couple of the workers got a look at their faces. Sketch artists drew up sketches from the eye witnesses descriptions and it didn't take them long to realize one of the sketches was of Tommy Desimone to which he would have been picked up on it but as fate would have it he got killed first by Gambino's in particular Gotti himself. The other guy that the sketch was of eventually did get picked up for it, but he was smart and kept his mouth shut. They leaned on him hard but he wouldn't crack. The one thing he said this incorrect is that he said Jimmy was loved by all the families and that's not so John Gotti and Jimmy hated each other Paul Vario protected Jimmy though. The Gambino's wanted Jimmy just like they wanted Tommy whom they eventually got because Paul was tired of his shit.

Yeah when I heard him call Mazza a made man I was like WTF? To my understanding Scarpa was going to propose Mazza, but due to the war and all that shit he couldn't be at that time it would have to be after. It just never got done due to all the bullshit. If Mazza or whoever said Scarpa his captain made him that is odd, because I heard Persico actually never made Scarpa an official captain. This came out of Mazza's own mouth. He said at the end when they all got picked up and he was locked up Allie Boy Persico and someone else they were talking, and it came up that way back Carmine, Allie Boy, Scarpa, and someone else all got picked up and were waiting on being arraigned or brought up on the charges. He said they were pretty in a fucked situation. He said Scarpa got called out the cell and within few hours all sudden they all got released and no charges were ever brought up on them it just went away. Carmine because of this wouldn't ever make him an official captain, but he just sort of acted as one. Mazza said he was tripped out about hearing this. Nobody can deny Scarpa sort of operated like a Whitey Bulger in the sense he was so feared and had ridiculous amount of hits under his belt and yet also seemed to have that magical aura of invincibility to not ever get caught. I actually like Larry Mazza, and I believe he deserved a button. That said I personally do not think he got officially made. It could be looked at a couple of ways whether he had it easy or hard being under Scarpa. No matter what he put work in that is for sure and the Colombo wars are legendary in terms of the Mafia lore.

Mazza was 100% made. Just because they didn’t do a full fledged ceremony doesn’t mean he’s not made. The boss who OKed it was in prison for life and they were in the middle of a war. He’s 100% a made guy imo. Much more so than someone like John Pennisi who did go thru a ceremony but was fast tracked after only being an associate for less than a year and didn’t even know his capo or any of the guys in his crew before he was brought into the family lol. Larry was an associate for a decade before he was ininiated
