Anthony Mackie had a special childhood connection with "Twisted Metal." Now he's starring in a Peacock series based on the PlayStation video game franchise. This interview was conducted June 26. #anthonymackie #twistedmetal #shorts
1990 to be exact an i had twisted metal from Playstation ,Playststion 1 , Playstation 2 an 3 lol. Twisted metal an blitz was my first to games an i had super nintendo an 64 bro see through purple 64❤😂
so they basically use twisted metal black for the twisted metal show season 1 and going to use that for the starting point and then probably use twisted metal 2 as the second season because that was like the best one
The show was more TW2 than black. John happens to be the Black version of Roadkill. And Preacher is the only one who mentions anything from Black. Everything else was from 2 and 3.
@@R0binah00d No it was definitely more twisted metal black and twisted metal 2012 thats literally the sweet tooth versions they went wit they're getting ready to do twisted metal 2 4 the 2nd season That's why Nev Campbell say at the very end Calypso will Grant whatever your heart desires if you win the twisted Metal competition
People confusing the character's back stories for actual structure, and world building. The game didn't have any real lore. That's what Anthony is referring to
I don’t believe he played it. “No story” is NOT what people think of when they think Twisted Metal. I IMMEDIATELY think of Mr. Grimm’s story in Black when I think of the game. And the first time I Beat 3 which was my first one. His story doesn’t check out IMO.
It's possible he might've been like Pablo Scheiber playing Halo. Where in Pablo's case, he played Halo, but admitted it was mainly just multiplayer at his friend's house while he barely played much of the campaign mode until he got the role.
It's possible he got Twisted Metal mixed up with Vigilante 8. I had a N64 instead of a Playstation 1 growing up, so I never played Twisted Metal, and yeah the description he gave totally sounds like Vigilante 8.
tbh i love and hated the new show. it felt familiar but not quite like the twisted metal experience i expected. really hoping the second season ditches some of the corny jokes and ACTUALLY shows vehicular combat. i'm not gonna wait 9 episodes again.
Atari was around through the 80s into the early 90s. The Atari 2600 Jr. (mini) was mid-80s, Atari 7800 was late 80s, Lynx & Jaguar were early 90s, there were Atari arcade games & home computers throughout. Both the Colecovision & Atari 5200 had adapters that played 2600 games & the 7800 played them directly. The NES was released in test markets in Oct. 85, nationwide in 86, but it didn’t dominate until about 1988.
