Anthony Richardson is an absolute freak athlete. But he has also shown flashes of high level QB traits. But his scatter shot accuracy and poor decision making make his evaluation very difficult.

Anthony Richardson is my guy! Everything in this video thats said about Anthony Richardson is true. I would rather my Detroit Lions shoot their shot with one of their first round picks on AR rather than any other quarterback. “IF” AR can reach his potential he’ll be a superstar and the Detroit Lions deserve that type of QB. It would be fitting for the Lions to use their pick from the Rams to draft a QB.

He has the worst completion percentage of every QB 1st round pick in NFL draft history at 53%. I wouldn't draft him in the first round if i'm a NFL team, I have a 3-5 round grade based on his upside as a trick play/ backup QB like a Taysom Hill.
@alexchavez3383
@alexchavez3383 Год назад
This is so nearsighted. You understand you only has one year of starting experience, correct? Justin Herbert was in the 50% range his junior year. Josh Allen was at 53% 2 years in a row. Seems like you're simply not projecting to who he can become, which is the whole point.
@thunderbear82
@thunderbear82 Год назад
@@alexchavez3383 Josh Allen was 56% on a bad Wyoming team, not a SEC powerhouse. Herbert was at 59% and improved to 66% if Richardson went back to school like Herbert and made big jump I wouldn’t be opposed to taking a chance on him.

@@thunderbear82 this wasn’t the flex you think it is.. Florida this year was as bad as Allens team… I watched Allen in person at Wyoming.. also Allen played literally division 2 type players and was at 50 percent.. would say Richardson completion percentage in the SEC is more impressive
@thunderbear82

@@chrislawson9476 I don't flex, it's clear we're living in different simulations. It seems I missed the part where you made a point? You forgot to explain your reasoning. Are you trying to point out that Allen had worse WR's? or that they were guarded by worse DB's? Maybe it would surprise you that Richardson had the worst completion % in the SEC other than Robby Ashford of Auburn.

More quality analysis man, keep up the great work. Fortunately for a QB like AR, there's tons of fits for him this year. Needs a year to sit, maybe more than any other QB in this class. Teams such as: Houston, Detroit, Seattle (all with multiple 1st round picks, and thus have the luxury), as well as Washington, Giants, Jets, Vikings all to some extent make sense.

If you're a terrible team who's about 3-5 years away or you have an aging QB who has a few years left in the tank and you can stash him for 2 years he's a good risk. Unfortunately, I'm a Colts fan and we don't have that kinda time. We have pieces in place to make us competitive in the immediate future and we can't wait that long. If he reaches his ceiling I see a bigger Lamar Jackson with a bigger arm. His floor can be Akili Smith though 😂.

@joegriffin2973 Год назад
Talent is referring to his natural ability, and his arm talent, size, and speed are worthy of the “generational” label, he might be the most physically gifted QB in the world at any level. It’s really not that hard to grasp, if you watched the video, I mentioned his inaccuracy in depth, that doesn’t take away from his “talent”, that’s a skill and technique thing.

@@joegriffin2973 you can make generalizations about any number of football players, but unless those talents equate with exceptional performance on the field of play, what good are they and why are they so noteworthy? Never can I recall wanting a Florida quarterback to transfer or declare for the draft early more than I have with Anthony Richardson. Dreadfully bad quarterback. Missing wide open guys just five yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Not running when there is a wide open field in front of him. Throwing laser beam passes when all that is needed is a lob. Etc... Just terrible.

Mullen is one of the best dual threat QB coaches there is in the country, and not even Mullen could get him to hit the broadside of a barn. He doesn't have it and never will. @@Fau1ted In hindsight, Mullen was sort of right. Both QBs turned out to be trash. Mullen was forced to choose between two guys that couldn't get the job done, so he chose the one with the extra year in his system. He chose the more experienced player. But that's beside the point. The point is, we saw AR this season miss wide open passes five yards beyond the line of scrimmage more than a dozen times. He's the worst QB Florida has had since the dark years of the 70s.
