On 6.2.14, Anthony Riley, in a profoundly moving and raw emotional rendition in tribute to his mother, performed Sarah McLachlan's Angel on the center city streets of Philadelphia well before he was discovered and later appeared as a contestant on The Voice (NBC). In an electrifying performance, he is responsible for and recognized as causing the fastest four-chair turnaround by all four judges, occurring virtually on the first notes of James Brown's I Got You (I Feel Good). Sadly and tragically, Anthony removed himself from the show after his enormous early and spectacular success on The Voice and later committed suicide. He passed on 6.5.15 (age 28). at the age of 28. A tragic loss of a brilliant and enormously talented individual who presented with the utmost sensitivity and kindness while delivering mesmerizing, electrifying, chilling, goosebump-producing performances on the streets of Philadelphia and briefly on the national broadcast.
