I lost my "Catherine" back in 2003-4 and Now, My Father 3 yrs. ago this past November AND IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, I LOST MY ONLY SON, ALSO 3 YRS. LAST NOVEMBER The SAME MONTH AS MY FATHER. My Father passed away the first of the month, and my SON at the End of the month. Which fell on his Daughter's 18th. B-DAY! YES THAT'S RIGHT! My Son Passed away on his Daughter's YES MY Granddaughter's 18th.birthday! Now it's Me and My Adopted Sister. And I still have "God" and a few GOOD FRIENDS! CAN I GET A AMEN!

my mom passed away in 2004. i was just 13 years old, right before school started that year she passed. this was one of her favorite songs. i begged and pleaded for this to get played at her funeral, and they did. this song means so much to me, not only from then, but now. the lyrics are pure gold. the older you get, you get more and more tired for the street live. vultures and thieves at your back. life gets old sometimes, and unfair. i hope we all can find some peace tonight.

I'm 22 years old and I was forgeting about God... that's why something bad happened to me. But then i got healed. I opened my heart and eyes to the Lord God. Embracing his love for me. And I believe nothing bad will ever happen to me because i got Our Father, Son of God and the Holy Spirit with me. Only God can save me. I give him my life and soul. I'll continue to have faith in You Lord. I love You like how you Love me. I thank You how you sacrificed Yourself on the cross. Thank You Lord.

Sarah is the most underrated artist of the 20th century. This could be 200 years old and we would call it a traditional gospel.

This song was played at my daughter’s funeral back in 2006. It still tears me up to this day. My Michelle was a victim of a domestic homicide suicide. And the man who murdered her shot and killed himself afterwards. Some days it’s hard to get through even a second of the day but I thank God for my memories of her…Hold your loved ones so very close to you and keep your ears open for any distress that they might show you. Sadly I missed all the signs and it was too late to help her.

I've read the backstory to this song concerning an escape with meth and the song speaks I think to the mentally ill as well. We try, we get up, we fall, we get up again, we fall and at some point you say, I can't do this anymore. I believe in God and his angels, and I do think he sends them to surround us at a point where we don't believe we can take it anymore. Some get back up again; some don't. I'm now 69 years old and I have felt numerous times in my life like the person in the song. Sarah's music speaks volumes about her capacity to feel true empathy in our plight. Like all things though, God takes a story about drugs and the evil we deal with, and he turns it into a symphony of care and love and protection found in the arms of the Angel. Thank you, Sarah and Josh, for this deeply emotional rendition of the plight of the lost and terrorized.

I have watched this video many times. As a heavy metal guy all i can say is that my words are wholly inadequate. Throughout all of our lives we get fortunate at times to hear and see things that come from deep within the soul of the universe and in that moment, that instant you recognize genoius, perfection, love, and kinship that we all wish would remain in our hearts and thoughts so that when we are needed or in need we find strength and beauty in others. I liked watching the young man behind Sarah in the blue athletic jersey frozen in awe. That was really cool💖

This song broke my heart as it was played at my father's funeral in July of 1999. Five years to the day later I saw her in concert in Nashville. She sang this song. My heart, once again, broke!

When the tone of two people’s voices match as well as Sarah’s and Josh’s you end up with a sound so beautiful it is impossible to not be drawn to listen to the music over and over again. Such is my experience. This is indeed a heavenly matchup.
