When it comes to Anthrax I only like the albums with Joey Belladonna. It's not the same without him. I found "I'm The Man" to be funny. Don't care about the Public Enemy cover song though.

I used to try to collect every record from a band I liked, but canoes like Anthrax taught me that you have to be selective. I do tend to discount a band after they poser out like Mayhem's Grand Declaration of War, but if I by chance they put out a banger album and I happened to listen to it and like it, I'd pick it up. But the introduction of homeboy into metal pisses me off to no end. It's either homeboy or metal, because there's nooooo way it can be both at the same time. It's the same as pissing all over a pizza, its no longer food and only fit for the dumpster.
I like some of the earlier Anthrax albums. "Persistence of Time" is awesome. Tbh, Suicidal Tendencies might be the original crossover culprits. Anthrax might have followed suit.

ABSOLUTELY! I NEVER understood why these knobs were included in the "Big" 4 instead of Dark Angel, D.R.I, Exodus, Forbidden, Overkill, Suicidal Tendencies, or Vio-Lence. You can throw Carnivore, Sadus or Testament in there as well and I wouldn't be mad atcha. Anthrax was/are bottom of the barrel, bubblegum thrash for nitwits who later on leapt into nu-metal like pink panty wearing fruit bois jump on gloryhole dongs.
Nailed it! I too think lowly of Anthrax and thought of their place in the Big 4 was ridiculous. I would say either Exodus or Overkill would round out the Big 4 far better than Anthrax. I'd go with Dark Angel, if only they had more albums to their name.

Most of Suicidal Tendencies discography is meh to me, however their first album was so groundbreaking I felt it might earn them a spot on the list.
I enjoy Megadeth. Their best years are far behind them but they still can do some enjoyable stuff. They're the most mainstream thrash band along with Metallica when it comes to any style of metal. That should be pretty obvious to everyone.🤘😃

It was always Hawaiians don’t listen to metal. We listen to reggae and fuckin cheesey ass Hawaiian folk music. Con is definitely not either of those.

I saw them on that first tour, think it was 99. I was so into that CD, still am. Love it. I ran into the guys after the show and told em how much I liked what they were doing. I felt like a Tool. They were cool though, I just didnt know how to convey how much i liked that crazy album without sounding dumb.
I think all the great bands should enjoy that much success, I would like to see Deicide shirts at Walmart and be able to hear it on the radio. Where it's sold and who listens to it doesn't change the music, but being sold in more places funds the band to produce more of the same.

Here's two bands that are far from beaten to death, Slaughter Messiah "Cursed To the Pyre" and anything from Hellish Crossfire are definite solid jams.
Since I first heard Anthrax and Megadeth. All the way back in 7th grade. Good o’l 1988. I haven’t fuckin liked them. I loved Slayer, I loved Nuclear Assault instantly when I heard them. Something about Anthrax and Megadeth just didn’t sound right in my ears.

Scott Ian is the godfather of rap metal. I think their Public Enemy Anthrax collaboration was great for the time, it did bring unity in the 90s in hip hop and rock circles when there was a lot of social unrest going on in the states that being the Rodney King riots being one of them.
I do really like the first three megadeth albums. Vocals were never a dealbreaker for me. I love “Black Death” by malignant inception who sounds like Donald Duck and “Death-Pierce me” by silencer which is self explanatory why the vocals are silly

"Cryptic Writings" first 3 tracks are decent but rest is awful. "Youthanasia" isn't the best Megadeth Album but it's their catchiest and favorite album by them.
