My FIL was a swiss wicker for over 25 years. If you want to buy wicker furniture, buy them from the local wickers please. They really need the money to keep the tradition going. Invest in one nice piece and support the small ppl.
I agree with most of your opnions, except the wicker. I think it really depends on the place you live. I live in a city with a warmer climate in Colombia, which is a tropical country, and I think in my context wicker pieces (without overdoing it) is timeless and all-year appropiate. Once again, you are the voice of reason, Jenny. Thank you for reminding me to stay true to my personal aesthetic, and avoid the vortex pull of trends and purchsing items I don’t need! I love your suggestion of moving my furniture and decor around to refresh my space in the new season. Use what I already own, get a new perspective, save $$ (global recession?!), and avoid filling those landfills with unloved discards in the future. That’s a win!

Ngl wicker is timeless for me anywhere but I love the bohemian look, same with DIY stuff. But I also make a ton of stuff so I can't help but display it lol
This is one of the few times that I have disagreed with you! haha. I like wicker, cave vibes and unfinished edges. I like light and airy spaces too, but I love the coziness of darker and more rustic elements. I feel like they ground me and make me feel at home. Maybe it's my inner goth.
Same. I appreciate both light and dark interiors, each has a place, but what I can't live without- is the wabi-sabi feel of raw materials and beautiful imperfections of handmade items.
I stay with my nordic japandi style spiced with some greens. I can easily keep everything clean and fresh. It keeps me focused and motivated in my minimalist home office (a corner in the living room) forced by the pando in 2020.
It's super sad you deleted the videos from the time "mind the mustard" was a thing. The clothes, white hair, bowl cut. It's was all so so original and so lovely. Literally no other creator on the Internet has that style.
I go for a classic/timeless decor generally, and simple things like changing the bedding, throw on pillow cases (which you should do anyway) and adding flowers and plants make the space feel brand new! Happy autumn 🍂
My taste is pretty eclectic just offset by the fact that I never really get tired of what I love or feel the need to rearrange, but wicker is always funny when it come up since I've yet to have a cat that doesn't treat it like a scratching post.
I enjoy putting an ‘Autumn Mood’ board together on Pinterest and just have a nice long look..perhaps a few extra candles and just re-arrange what I have to look fresh.
I don’t really change my home decor with season, only I change the arts/illustrations I have on display. My home always have autumn decorations( like pin cones and dry leaves I picked up) since it’s my favorite season 😆🍂🍄 Ahhh la Boyle is on my wish list since I discovered it with you, hope to get it this Christmas 🤞🏻🤞🏻😍
Our tastes are pretty much spot on, except that I do have a couple of organic elements like a carved wood stool/side table that I adore, and although I don't own any wicker, I don't dislike it, as long as it isn't overdone and giving 1950's Miami vibes.
