I absolutely love this channel! Since buying a house and realising it needed much more work than I can afford, you guys have become essential viewing. Best decorating/home problem solving channel on RU-vid!
This is something I'm really passionate about because we've had to endure this problem for so long. Thanks for this video. I also used an anti mould paint additive by a company called Buildware. Did the job perfectly
I think that one contains BAC, the one in this video uses IPBC, which is more commonly used as an anti mould additive for paint. It stays in the dried paint film.
Owatrol VC175 is a very good tropical strength mould inhibitor. I have had very good results with it. Zinsser permawhite is one of the best mould and mildew paint, very durable too
Owatrol products are superb , i always use the oil paint conditioner in my gloss , really goes on lovely without having to thin the gloss out with white spirit and leaves a much better finish. .floetrol is also excellent and i add a bit to my acrylic eggshell and emulsions just for cutting in . Another fantastic product of theirs is polytrol which is a colour restorer , amazing on black car bumpers and i even used it on large pebbles set in cement in my garden , it makes them look like they're varnished and really brings the colour out in them .
@@orbitalforest also a big fan of all of their products, I would be interested to see how their decorative paints perform but I suspect they will be reliable.
Would this work for adding to eco emulsion (I have 60 litres!) to kill bacteria, which when I last used it on the wall developed a cat-wee smell like the B&Q Velspar emulsions did a few years ago. Apparently caused by bacteria growth once the paint was on the walls and awful smell lasted 6 months!!!!!!!!! Eco paint is SO expensive I just looking for options for saving it! Any advice most appreciated.
