saying weed is a medicine is a stretch in my opinion but alcohol is a much worse drug so I don't see why weed is illegal. I think overall nicotine is a much more addicting drug followed by weed and then alcohol. Because it is extremely hard for smoker to quit smoking cigarettes it is much easier to quit smoking weed. But alcohol is the most destructive one followed by nicotine and then weed. So honestly weed is at the lower end of the danger scale. The obvious culprit of why weed is seen as more dangerous is because the high effect of weed is much stronger then nicotine but nicotine is much more addictive. It is comparable with the differences between xtc and coke. Xtc has a much bigger high then coke but coke is something way more addicting since the effect dissapates much faster and gives a smaller high thus you body will want more of it since there is a lower amount of natural serotonine lost. That is how nicotine also works. The high is very small and short so the body wants more of it and you keep smoking. Since Xtc's high is so strong the serotonine in your body is completely depleted to the point you don't want to do any more of it because even if you would try another pill you will not get that high anymore unless you wait X amount of weeks/months so your body can adjust. Now I'm not saying xtc is not addictive but it certainly is much less then coke. There are always people that exaggerate and don't have any responsibility to what they are doing. Does that mean we should punish everyone else? I don't think so because eventually you will get to the point where everyone lives in a police state like China and you can't even pick your nose or get confined in your house for being a hazard to the public through covid policies...
