Hey, I get what you're trying to say, and I completely and whole heartedly agree, but please remember that it's Trinidad AND Tobago, I see a lot of these vids and in most of them they mostly focus on Trinidad, forgetting that Tobago is just as equally as beautiful, and also has alot of cultural fusions as Trinidad does. Just saying, no offence intended. But yes Trinidad and Tobago is such an underrated Country

I really appreciate how T&T was represented in this video. I can't tell you how often I have watched travel shows about places all over the world and said 'we have that here" . Dude said the Spanish came there and saw the Amerindians. Yet in the same breath he said it was discovered by Christopher Columbus. "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, only ourselves can free our minds". Also the indigenous people were not Indians. They were Tainos and Kalinago. The Kalinago were the Caribs from which the Caribbean got it's name.

Re Lopinot. I think it was settled by a Count Lopinot. The French came running from the Revolution in France. They brought their slaves and freedmen who also owned slaves. At one point Trini people spoke patois, and other islands kept patois to this day. People in St Lucia speak patois and it’s lovely. Today Trinis prefer our dialect so we lost part of our history. We had many Hindi speakers, but we are as lazy as the Brits and the U.S. and prefer English so we don’t make an effort to learn other languages unless we had to study them in school.

@@gaildelima2755 The French were the first Europeans to colonize Trinidad, the Spanish started colonization about 200 years after. The French settled mainly in the Northern part of the Island, Blanchisseuse, and Arima.

Cool Video. The caption of the video says Trinidad and Tobago and it would have nice if you featured Tobago as well. It is totally understood as well that this is a 9 minute video so there only so much you can caption. Again, nice video!

This was a great, and accurate summarized representation of Trinidad. So much more to explore, but it would be hours long, otherwise. Bravo.

Hello Ms Tigress, if you want to see lots of people , I suggest visting one of the many malls around POS. Mall shopping on Christmas Eve in T &T is always nice . There is Long Circular Mall near St Jamesvand West Mall heading to the west out of POS and there is also Movie Towne mall near the stadium and within POS. Trinis love their malls for good shopping and sense of security .Just saying.❤😊

I met alot of people from Trinidad most of the people told me they're from Port Of Spain. Some from San Fernando. I met 100 % Afro-Trinidadians & 100 % Asian Indian from Trinidad I never met no Chinese Trinidadian yet nor the ones who are Arabs . I'm American who obessed with multicultures to be honest. My goal meet & get to know people from all nations I would love to make friends from Trinidad & Tobago when I was a kid & teenager I never been around people from Trinidad & Tobago now I'm an adult I met so many of them

A video that is better than the usual frothy, superficial ones insofar as there was some actual interest shown in the people living there. At the same time, wish Mr. Brown had not made that statement about bands feeling good about having foreigners among their number. While all are welcome, it should not matter; it should not be a source of pride. There is still, in some - thankfully a few - that lingering need for validation through the approval of foreigners. We need to overcome that.

@@RawTravelPlus You seemed genuinely interested, not at all patronising (yes, with an /s/); a refreshing change from the norm. People are far more important than the "fun" destination in which they live. Well done, and best of luck
