The No. 2 Dastfit is very interesting. I do not have any that style with the bend but it does look aftermarket. The next to last one I have same wrench with International Harvester name on it.
Amazing. I have that same open handle wrench (#5), but mine is in much worse shape and I couldn't read the full patent date. A quick search using the date on yours (Sep 7 97) reveals US Patent # 589,765; a "Nut Wrench" invented by Theodore F. Vandegrift of Shelbyville, Indiana, and manufactured by his company, Vandegrift Manufacturing Co.
Fascinating. I like old stuff and I didn't realise how old those tools were. I'm a scrapper (scrap metal) and I have some tools but none like those. I do go along to flea markets looking for old mobile phones but there's so much out there that people are interested in. It's good to see that old things are appreciated by new generations. Really interesting. I'm subbing your channel and gonna have a look at more of your videos. Great stuff. 👍
@@tooladdict7463, definitely. One of the things scrappers keep saying 'I can't believe someone would throw this out'. Often you make more money selling these things than from the scrap.
I have one with the twisted handle but a little different. The Billings are always nice. Wish I could find some of them. The display was nice. It set off all the bright paint. Looked good. My son and me need a good display shelves for what we have got done. My guess 76 pounds. Thanks
I have one of those twisted wrenches, I picked it up at the car boot sale last year I think. Okay so which way do I go with my guess? Do I go high or low to get it wrong again?
To start off with I hope I am allowed to make guesses on all the tools. (if not I can delete the comment) but for the two Billings and the fastfit wrench, £35, for the twisted wrench, £19, for the no- name, £13, and for the small adjustable wrench, £10 But please do tell me if these are too many guesses!
no how it works is you make a combined guess for all the items as one so I can add up all those numbers or you can just give me one figure in a separate message either way is fine kind regards Ben
Tool Addict aaahh, ok thank you for the clarification! Next time I will add up the cost of all the tools in total! By the way, your channel only keeps getting better and better!
